Those of you who read my last article will know it was regarding Liverpool's current striker
plight.
After 5 and half years at Anfield, Rafa Benitez still has no idea how to manage Steven Gerrard
effectively, something that was proven once again with his recent pubic comments about Liverpool's
captain.
Can someone please explain to me the benefits of Benitez's supremely irritating recent PUBLIC
comments about Gerrard, because I just don't see the positives.
Another mess of rumors:
- Everton closer to sealing up Landon Donovan?
- Sol Campbell nears United move.
- Some AC Milan dude is/isn't going to City.
- Carew to Fenerbahce link played down.
- Chelsea getting/not getting Luis Suarez.
- Bofo back to MLS or Chivas?

Because of my basketball season tickets, I probably won't have the review up right after the game.
Thankfully, I'll at least see the match before leaving, but I won't get a chance to write a review
until 4 or 5pm. Sorry.

Well, the last vote was the closest. Hamann took second over Mascherano by five votes. I haven't
been closing the polls, so things might change, but I doubt it.
The team so far is:
Reina
Finnan Carragher Hyypia Riise
Alonso Hamann
The next three votes – RM, LM, and second striker – are going to see some repeat names.

Arshavin has now scored more goals at Anfield than Voronin. It wasn't exactly 5 Goals, 1 Game.
It was 5 Goals, TWO games and I'm happy enough.

It's almost the same line-up I guessed last time out, except no Aquilani, which I'm sure will be
well received.

For the third successive year, I figured I'd do a midseason comparison to previous league
campaigns. This ought to temper the good feelings after yesterday's match. I'm running late; the
totals don't include yesterday's win at Villa, just the first 19 games. Which, as you may remember,
haven't been that stellar.
