Some would agree that this was an absolute borefest while others would not. Martin O'Neil and
Rafa didn't get into a scrap and Barry didn't cry so it was definitely not the grudge match we were
hoping for. For me, the game pretty much ended when Torres came out with a pulled hamstring because
at that point the attack threat was gone.

I hate this fixture.
As a Manchester United fan there is nothing much worse than losing to Liverpool. Even
St£vie G and Carragher's sulky countenances were lifted to unfamiliar grins for half an hour
after the game (before, of course, their houses were burgled again for the fourth time that day).
Rafa gave a wide-eyed and incredulous interviews stating that Liverpool were now serious title
contenders, all the while trying to convince himself of the fact at the same time.

In my guess at a squad, I'm assuming Gerrard and Torres are fit enough to start, although, like
over the weekend, it'll be a late decision.

Welcome back, Steven Gerrard.
The first half was eminently watchable, end-to-end stuff. With the return of Gerrard and Torres,
Liverpool went back to the 4-2-3-1, while Marseille weren't content to allow Liverpool the leeway
they did in France last season.

Underperforming Liverpool were lucky to escape the second city with a point on Sunday.
Gerrard is out recovering from surgery, likely back in a week or more. Torres pulled up
with a hamstring injury in the first third of the match. Rafa crowded the midfield,
neutralized the service to Carew and Agbonlahor, allowing the Reds to escape with a point.
Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia has today admitted he will consider his future after been left out
Rafa Benitez' plans for the Champions League. The Finland international has been omitted from the
club's 25-man panel for the Champions League group stages, weeks after the club rejected an offer
from Stoke City for the player.
I'm so damned happy and drunk right now that I don't know where to start. It's not even 9am
yet... crap. The best thing that could have happened was the early goal by Tevez. I think that
slapped the entire Liverpool squad in the face and said, "You better wake the hell up."
And they did.
This was the first match of the season that I can say that the Reds played the way they
should.
Babel......!!
Liverpool 2 vs Manchester United 1 Babel goal get in there!!!
The greatest thing about beating [finally] Manchester United, is that the lads performed very well
in doing so, and this without Torres and before Gerrard even got on the pitch. Very attack minded,
excellent possession, and dominant for the majority of the match.
How can I even begin to choose a man of the match, there was so many stand out performances.
Premier Lig'in iki milyarderini karşı karşıya getiren maçta gülen
'daha eski' zengin oldu. Chelsea deplasmanda Manchester City'yi 3-1 ile geçti. Cityliler
Robinho'nun ilk golüne tanıklık etmekle yetindiler. Bir de herhalde keşke
satış işlemi transferin son iki gününde değil de, bir hafta önce
olsaydı diye düşünmüşlerdir.
Debuts for Sulky-smooth and Riera went better for the Spaniard
Liverpool beat the old Red Menace 2-1 in the early Saturday fixture- a great way to kick off the
weekend. Berbatov cut back a nice pass that found Tevez totally unmarked and making no
mistake; his countryman and friend Javier Mascherano didn't seem to realize the kickoff had
happened two minutes prior.
There's a strong resilience building amongst the players, as we've had to come from behind 3 times
already this season to win. Thankfully they didn't keep us waiting too long this time, with Gerrard
scoring a brace of goals.
Despite all the rumours about being injured, Mascherano played, but I'll bet we don't see him this
weekend as he looked very tired.

Just a week after beating Manchester United, following a woeful United display, an own goal and an
accidental goal from Babel, Liverpool have drawn 0-0 at home to Stoke. Before today, Stoke hadn't
managed a clean sheet in any of their previous games this season. They started the season with a
defeat against Bolton and have [.
