Liverpool boss, Kenny Dalglish has come out and said that there will be no signings in or out of
Melwood this window.
After two great results against the Manchester clubs this week, it is easy to think that we have no
need to find a striker and a midfielder in the January window.
However, we are seventh in the League, behind unfancied Newcastle and six points behind Chelsea in
fourth place.

Strangely enough, this will be the first time Liverpool have had Webb this season.
After a promising first season at Liverpool, Ryan Babel found himself continually warming the bench
during his time at Anfield, and the Dutch International - who currently plays for Hoffenheim in the
Bundesliga - has now accused his former club of 'mismanagement'.In a frank interview with Sport1
Voetbalmagazine, Babel revealed that he was not impressed with the way he was managed at
Liverpool:"
Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has revealed that he regrets his 'dangerous' use of Twitter
during the latter stages of his career at Anfield.
Babel, who now plys his trade in Holland with Hoffenheim, admits that he is 'addicted to Twitter',
and warned that becoming 'too emotional', can be 'very dangerous'.
We need a proper winger! came the constant refrain. Kuyt may have been a lock on the
right for years, and before him Steven Gerrard may have had his best statistical season cutting in
from the flank, but neither was a proper winger. Meanwhile on the left, be it Babel or Benayoun or
Garcia, it seemed a role largely filled by default, a place to dump an extra creative player who
couldn't quite manage to get a game anywhere else.
It's an understatement to suggest that Ryan Babel never quite realised his undoubted potential at
Liverpool. For a variety of reasons - many of which were not his fault - the Dutchman's career
never really took off. Babel now plys his trade in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim in the
Bundesliga, but as he revealed in a recent interview, Liverpool FC is still very special to him.
View from the Opposition: Everton v Liverpool
With the Merseyside derby fast approaching, we asked Click Liverpool's Everton correspondent
Aaron Sharp what he expected from the game. With Everton seeing the likes of Mikel Arteta heading
out of the club, and only a handful of loan signings being brought in, just how disappointed were
supporters with the clubs summer dealings?

Club legend Mark Lawrenson believes that this season could be the one where Liverpool reclaims
their place in the top four of the Premier League, with Champions League qualification likely to be
at the expense of Arsenal.
After Roy Hodgson presided over a dismal start to last season, things picked up at Anfield with the
appointment of Kenny Dalglish and the club finished the season with a flourish.

Kenny Dalgish has told Liverpool fans to expect plenty more big-name signings in the summer.
After selling Fernando Torres to Chelsea on deadline day, Liverpool turned around and broke their
transfer record twice by landing Andy Carroll and Luiz Suarez for a combined £58m.
Now Dalglish is telling Liverpool fans that Carroll and Suarez are not the only big names that
will be moving to Anfield.
Two in, two out. We'd known about Babel exit's and Suarez's signing but today saw Torres push his
way out and Andy Carroll joining for a rumored £35m. In addition, Liverpool weren't able to pry
Charlie Adam from Blackpool. Combined, the outlay on Suarez and Carroll almost exactly equals what
was recouped from selling Torres and Babel.

'Pool accepted a £6 million bid for the Dutch forward last week, but the deal appeared to be
wavering until late on Monday, when the player flew out to finalise the contract details.

With Gerrard suspended for one more match, my best guess is the same XI which drew with Everton
last Sunday.
In the previous post on Babel and the worst transfers of the last decade, I should have better
differentiated between a "bad player" and a "bad signing." Buying Alberto Aquilani was an awful,
awful deal, but Alberto Aquilani's an outstanding player. Philipp Degen is a terrible full-back but
was a free signing that didn't cost Liverpool much more than wages and overtime for the medical
staff.
Everybody may be on pins and needles watching the transfer front, wondering if the rumoured
Suarez deal will finally go through, wondering if the Babel to Hoffenheim deal will finally go
through, and maybe even wondering if the agreed price with Hoffenheim was always just a way of
setting Babel's value as a bargaining tool in negotiations with Ajax over Suarez.
Liverpool have confirmed that they've accepted a bid from Hoffenheim for Ryan Babel. Media reports
put the fee at €7m, or £5.8m, which is almost exactly 50% of what Liverpool paid for the
winger/striker/professional Tweeter in the summer of 2007. The deal's not done yet – Babel still
has to agree personal terms – but I expect we're past the point of no return.
LIVERPOOL, England Liverpool forward Ryan Babel has been fined £10,000 ($15,800) and warned about
his future conduct by the Football Association after admitting a charge of improper conduct
relating to comments and images posted on Twitter concerning referee Howard Webb. Babel incurred
the wrath of the governing body when tweeting a doctored photo of [.

Thanks to Dimitar Berbatov's world-class 'Bulgarian Shuffle', yesterday's damp

30 seconds had elapsed which, all-in-all, precipitated a fairly dire subsequent 92-and-a-half
minutes of featureless toil.
