The buzz in the Mexican media is evident and if one were to read all the headlines coming out of
the Aztec media there is a sense of pride in the transfer of Javier Hernández to Manchester
United.
For many, he might not have needed the Mexican media machine or his position at Chivas to really
make a leap of this level.
The tournament kicks off this year with a change in format. Rather than a traditional tournament
bracket, the event has been set up as three separate round-robin groups. All games are being played
at Kickapoo High School, beginning at 3:15 pm today. The full schedule is available on my calendar

The expansion Portland Timbers have signed the first four players in the club's history,
including a trio of top scorers from the USSF Division 2.
Portland announced the signing of forward Bright Dike and midfielder Ryan Pore, as well as
goalkeeper Steve Cronin, from the USSF D-2 Portland Timbers, while also signing English forward
Eddie Johnson away from the Austin Aztex.

The Portland Timbers head down south as they prepare to play the Austin Aztecs (7-2-1), who are
currently in first place in the overall USSF standings with 23 points.
The winds are howling and the world's shaking itself loose; at least it feels that way. The
