Germany have made the perfect start to qualifying for the 2012 European Championships, winning
all four matches to this point, to sit comfortably atop of Group A. Whilst they already possess a
five point buffer over second placed Austria, the Germans are a proud nation who will be confident
of attaining a maximum 30 points from their 10 allotted qualifiers (and many sports betting sites
will give you good odds on Germany's clean sweep).

This week's main report looks at the qualifying groups of the 2012 European Championships that
will take place in Ukraine and Poland next summer.
The Netherlands survived a scare Tuesday to beat Hungary 5-3 and maintain its perfect record in
European Championship qualifying, while Spain extended its unblemished start to Group I with a 3-1
win at Lithuania.

England were given a tricky World Cup qualifying group as they will face Montenegro, Ukraine,
Poland, Moldova, and San Marino in Group H as they bid to qualify for the 2014 World Cup finals in
Brazil.
Scotland and Wales were drawn together in Group A, and will play Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, and
the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Arsenal's Emmanuel Frimpong and Liverpool's Martin Kelly have withdraw from the England Under 21
squad after picking up injuries over the weekend.
Stewart Pearce was already down on numbers ahead of the matches against Azerbaijan and Israel with
Manchester United duo Phil Jones and Tom Cleverley having received call-ups to the senior side
ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales.
While it's fair to say Sir Alex Ferguson will have been a tad chuffed by Sunday's 8-2 spanking of
Arsenal, it did come at a price for the Manchester United manager following the news that Danny
Welbeck suffered a hamstring injury. The striker had earlier scored his second goal of the season
and the first of his side's eight in this memorable match.
