Finland's U21 team has a chance of achieving what would be the best achievement in Finnish football
so far as they play Austria twice. The winner of the tie will qualify for the U21 European
Championships to be held in Sweden next year. Markku Kanerva is unlikely to change his team
compared to the group stage [.
We're bad. We're worldwide.
We have 50 World Cup qualifiers Saturday, plus a handful Friday and Sunday, as
we welcome Europe to the mix and start the last group stage in Asia. We even have a crucial
qualifier in Oceania as New Zealand visits New Caledonia. First challenge is figuring out where New
Caledonia is.
The first round of qualification for 2010 World Cup in South Africa kicks off on Saturday the 6th
of September. England first game is away to Andorra, Scotland is away to Macedonia, Northern
Ireland are away to Slovakia, Republic of Ireland are away to Georgia and Wales are home to
Azerbaijan. All .
I can see right up your shorts! Finland came up with an interesting way of distracting Azerbaijan
goalkeeper Kamran Aghayev during their World Cup qualifier, and it seemed to work. Here is how to
try the tactics out with your team: 1) Take one Daniel Sjolund. 2) Open his legs and leave him
lying on the ground within [.
At first, I'd like to state that I'm not watching Polish clubs in European competition because
it gives me pleasure. On contrary, it is a very painful experience. So why the hell do I care to
devote my time to our 'stars' competing with mighty teams from Azerbaijan or Belarus? It's because
I want to check how the national team candidates are doing.
The promotion of FC Vaduz to Switzerland's top flight league for the first time has brought a boost
for the struggling Liechtenstein national team. The nation's football structure is a setup which
differs to the other European countries as they do not have their own national league, rather their
clubs participate in the Swiss leagues and their only domestic competition is the Liechtenstein
Championship.

Those results should have been achieved by Polish clubs two weeks ago. Unfortunately, we had to
wait for second legs for our teams to finally prove that we're better than what the football world
of Belarus and Azerbaijan has to offer. Confident wins by both Polish clubs and some good displays
from Polish national team players (Murawski, Roger).
We could have done a lot worse, a loss would not have helped our cause. But the game against
West-Brom yesterday which ended in an extremely boring 0-0 showed just how badly we need balls in
the back of the net. The trotters were par with WBA in just about every category.
This brings me to a slightly more optimistic bit of news.
Oh the World Cup, the number 1 competition in the sport world, an event that moves thousands of
fans to watch the national side. It started earlier when the qualification groups were drawn out of
the box and today we will see the ball roll for the first time, it will end 2 years from now in
Johannesburg.
