Michael Bradley has wasted little time settling in with Italian club Chievo.
The U.S. men's national team midfielder earned his second straight start in a week, going a full
90 minutes and having a hand in both goals in Chievo's 2-1 win vs.
Steve Cherundolo will join the team in BrusselsIt was a long day of travel but the U.S. MNT is on the ground in Belgium. The team flew overnight
from Los Angeles to Frankfurt before getting on the short transfer to Brussels. A long night on the
plane to be sure but the team is settled in the hotel and looking forward to the next day and a
half leading into Tuesday's game.

Jurgen Klinsmann is under a little bit of heat overseas for one of his recent personnel
decisions.
According to reports out of the Netherlands, AZ Alkmaar coach Gertjan Verbeek criticized
Klinsmann for calling up Jozy Altidore for the United States' friendlies against Costa Rica and
Belgium.

Jozy Altidore should make his Europa League debut tonight as AZ Alkmaar lines up against Swedish
outfit Malmo FF.
Altidore, currently on a hot streak with his new club, has five goals in six appearances and has
been an immediate hit for the Dutch side since signing in mid-July.
Jozy Altidore continued his torrid goal-scoring pace for AZ Alkmaar today, scoring on a
long-range blast in AZ Alkmaar's Europa league match vs. Swedish side Malmo (the same Malmo squad
that eliminated Glasgow Rangers from the Champions League in earlier qualifying rounds).
Three Americans abroad sit in the pole positions along with their clubs in the early part of the
season. In Holland, Jozy Altidore is enjoying a professional renaissance with AZ Alkmaar, the team
level with Twente Enschede on points at the top of the Eredivisie. Over in Scotland, Carlos
Bocanegra and Maurice Edu are basking in the glow of the 4-2 victory against Celtic in the first
Old Firm of the campaign, as Rangers are now four points clear at the top of the table.

Jozy Altidore has done it again.
Altidore continued his fine start to the season by scoring the opener in AZ Alkmaar's Europa
League match against FC Metalist Kharkiv on Thursday. The U.S. international got on the scoreboard
after making a run and hitting a shot to the lower right corner in the 26th minute.
Jurgen Klinsmann has named his roster for the upcoming friendlies, and while most of the names
should be familiar, there are a couple of new faces. The USMNT squares off against Honduras on
October 8th at 5PM CST. The match will be played at Joe Robbie/Pro Player Park/Pro Player
Stadium/Dolphins Stadium/Dolphin Stadium/Land Shark Stadium/Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens,
FL.
There are in fact only three "newcomers" who haven't yet been in a Jurgen Klinsmann-led national
team camp: veteran defender Oguchi Onyewu, Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando and German-born
midfielder Danny Williams, 21, who just got his American citizenship.
"We would like to continue seeing our players develop through these initial couple of
months," Klinsmann said.

Jermaine Jones' struggles for playing time at Schalke 04 have been alleviated somewhat, as Jones
made his first appearance for the club in nearly two months on Thursday.
Having last played for Schalke on Aug. 6, Jones came off the bench in the 76th minute of
Schalke's Europa League match against Maccabi Haifa to help the club preserve its 2-1 lead.
