It was a long day of travel but the U.S. MNT is on the ground in Belgium. The team flew overnight from Los Angeles to Frankfurt before getting on the short transfer to Brussels. A long night on the plane to be sure but the team is settled in the hotel and looking forward to the next day and a half leading into Tuesday's game.

Jurgen Klinsmann is under a little bit of heat overseas for one of his recent personnel decisions.

According to reports out of the Netherlands, AZ Alkmaar coach Gertjan Verbeek criticized Klinsmann for calling up Jozy Altidore for the United States' friendlies against Costa Rica and Belgium.

Jermaine Jones' struggles for playing time at Schalke 04 have been alleviated somewhat, as Jones made his first appearance for the club in nearly two months on Thursday.

Having last played for Schalke on Aug. 6, Jones came off the bench in the 76th minute of Schalke's Europa League match against Maccabi Haifa to help the club preserve its 2-1 lead.
