First things first, although the score was the same, this was clearly a very different match from
when we played City at home last year - we created chances, and it was only through luck that City
didn't concede in the first half.
And of course turning up and playing like that is boring, and one can make any number of
heavy-handed jokes about what an expensive bus it was to park, but the bottom line is, they came
away with a draw.
This season has been one of workmanship, a season where Manchester United have been less
entertaining than normal and more anchored, not hitting the breathtaking heights of previous
incarnations, but getting the job done nonetheless.
Surprising it may seem that we are still unbeaten in the Premier League, and if history is
anything to go by this record will stay intact for another week at least as Tottenham Hotspur
haven't triumphed over United for just less than ten years.
One facet of this season I've found to be a bit peculiar is the seeming lack of narrative.
Usually by this point in the season the pieces of the puzzle are coming together.
For me, last year was all about Europe. The year before, we watched and wondered about what Roy
could do with his first full season at the helm.
After the performances of both Arsenal and Manchester United this past week, you certainly saw
two teams that have full guns blazing towards a collision clash for supremacy in the English
Premier League.
The Bleacher Report writes that despite popular opinion, perhaps it is Arsenal that has
developed a winning mentality, and not United.
