How quick things change in the world of football? Last December every Barca fan were complaining
about how disappointed were they with the performance of the little Bojan Krkic; now they can't
stop praising him. Indeed Bojan Krkic has been in a tremendous goal scoring streak and have
impressed everyone including his manager.

Raul Meireles (left) has settled in at Liverpool in no time
Portuguese international Raul Meireles arrived at Liverpool – a big new club in a foreign
country – at a very, VERY bad time. What with the Hicks & Gillett saga poisoning LFC from within,
serious doubts over how long new manager Roy Hodgson would last, and a string of poor performances
on the pitch.

The one thing many gooners were concerned about before the draw was the distances we might have
to travel. Ferguson seems to agree with us on that,
It's a good draw for us. You always look at the travelling side of it. The only one of any great
distance is the trip to Turkey.
From the travelling point of view we don't have a very good draw.
I am slightly paralysed away from my computer and typing this brief post from a phone with a
moribund battery supply. Today's result away to blackburn is exactly the kind you need to grind out
if you are to be in contention come the end of the season. We showed grit, determination and desire.
We played far more like a team than we did in many away games last season.
Did that really just happen? I'm still struggling to accept what I just saw. 2 goals in injury
time by Everton makes this an encounter of 2 points dropped.
Been mulling over the results since the final whistle and one positive I can take out of the season
so far is that the points we've dropped so far (Fulham/Everton) were games that we lost
resoundingly last season.
Always good to play a newly promoted team at home after a busy (and triumphant) week. West Brom
according to Mr Wenger will be a tough test and one of the best sides we could play. Tosh, I say he
couldn't have asked for a better fixture considering the progressive destruction of his squad. If
we don't pick up 3 points today we may as well hold up the white flag regarding the title.
Manchester United haven't yet registered an away victory this season and speaking after the 2-2
draw against Bolton Wanderers, Nemanja Vidic revealed that their poor defensive records might be
the reasons for the failure.
The center back and current captain stated that he and his teammates are very concern with the
fact that they have concede lots of goals this season especially when they're playing away from
home.
Sriwijaya v Persik
Copa Indonesia winners have yet to impose themselves on this ISL season and find themselves sitting
10th with 15 games gone. Just a single win in their last seven games, and that a narrow 1-0 against
struggling PSPS, shows Rahmad Darmawan's men aren't having the best of times when you consider next
weekend they travel to Singapore to take on Singapore Armed Forces in an AFC Champions League Play
Off.
Some talk about Jonathan Greening on Friends of Fulham and, following up, by Dan at
Hammyend.com.
Well this sort of thing's been my bread and butter for yonks, so I couldn't resist wading in as
well.
It's been noted that Greening has been in the side when we did well, and out of it when we did
not.
One of the ways in which Newcastle can improve on the run-in to the league, is to start winning
some of their away games. Chris Hughton away form not good enough Including the FA Cup, Newcastle
have not won in their last 6 away games, and the last away victory was at Coventry City, back on

The Game With Manchester United and Chelsea both having tricky away games, Arsenal could move
closer to the top, although they will have to do so without Abou Diaby, William Gallas, Andrey

Given that they're up against teams from Hong Kong and Maldives we should see two south east Asian
teams through to the next round of the AFC Cup.
PSPS v Persija 1-0 (Dzumafo)
Unbelievable innit. PSPS are currently the 5th best team in Indonesia, better than Persija and
Sriwijaya. They have more home points than 2nd place Persipura and Copa Indonesia winners
Sriwijaya. And the have the best defence in the league when it comes to conceding.
Arsenal faithful woke up on Monday morning to the news that they will be missing talented
midfielder Alex Song for their trip to Barcelona. The Gunners will now be without plenty of key
players as Song joins skipper Cesc Fabregas, talismanic Russian winger Andrei Arshavin, former
captain William Gallas, and key striker Robin van Persie.
17 away league games, 14 goals. That's abysmal. And it's led to a record of four wins, five draws,
and eight losses away from Anfield. I've prattled on about the multiple causes of Liverpool's
season-long misfortune, and there are multiple, but at the end of the season, the away form might
be the most glaring.

OUR NEXT GAME IS A HOME MATCH ON SATURDAY AGAINST NOSTELL MW.
After going 1-0 through Wayne Rooney inside the first minute; you'd be forgiven for thinking
United would go on to win the game. The tactics would be fairly simple: Allow Bayern to press
forward and then hit them on the break. The deficit would force them to throw men forward and the
likes of Nani, Park and Rooney could exploit the gaps left at the back as Bayern pushed for an
equalizer.
February could be a make or break month for Manchester United, as they face 5 consecutive away
games after Saturday's Old Trafford date with Portsmouth.
The Champions will face Aston Villa twice. Once at Villa Park n the league and once at Wembley
in the Carling Cup Final.
In between those games, they'll travel to Italy to face AC Milan in the Champions League, and
back to England to play revitalized Everton at Goodison Park.

Squeaky bum time in Indonesia with Arema and Persipura involved in an almighty tussle for the ISL.
The ex-Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn has been looking at Arsenal's opening fixtures next
season, and thinks that the Gunners will have to have all guns blazing right from the start if they
are going to challenge for the title, especially away from the emirates. The opening match will be
at Anfield, and Winterburn thinks they may [.
MLS teams head back into CONCACF Champions League play tonight and tomorrow with three return
leg matches. Both Seattle and Toronto take one goal leads into their away games and have reasonable
shots at advancement. Meanwhile, LA is in Puerto Rico looking to salvage a bit of pride after their
thumping at the hands of the Islanders last week.
This afternoon the 20 English Premier League clubs across the length and breadth of the country are
in the process of making their final preparations for the opening day fixtures of the 2010/2011
English Premier League season. The first round of Premier League fixtures are set to take place
this weekend, and it seems that 2 of the newly promoted teams are set for a baptism of fire with
tough away games on the cards.
Arsene Wenger has always considered that Arsenal are most vulnerable to dropping points
domestically after they have played a strenuous midweek Champions League match, which is why there
always seems to be much shuffling of players the following week. Well this season Arsenal have been
handed a huge disadvantage, with nearly every Group Stage match [.
From the marmalade of the tackle to the croissant of planning. Sunderland v. Arsenal By Phil
Gregory* Coming off the back of a stunning 6-0 against Braga, confidence will undoubtedly be high
amongst the Arsenal camp. While the goals have flowed freely at home, with big wins against Bolton,
Braga and Blackpool, our away games [.
Kenny Dalglish has a confession to make. He can remember playing worse games for Liverpool than
Fernando Torres managed at Birmingham last week, a performance that drew personal criticism so
strong Roy Hodgson had to speak up in defence of his striker. "I had nightmares too, lots of them,"
Dalglish says.
If you spend any amount of time in the company of other Spurs fans eventually the Harry
Redknapp discussion will surface. Probably never has a manager split opinions so much, especially
one that's been relatively successful in his short term. Below is an article written by one of our
forum members, YidetteKels.
Nearly a forgotten player in the Manchester United squad this season, Michael Owen proves that
he is still someone that Alex Ferguson can really count on as after scoring in the midweek, the
veteran striker did it again today.
Coming in as a substitute for Darren Fletcher in the second half, the former Liverpool star
managed to grab another goal which this time saved his team from a defeat against the stubborn
Bolton Wanderers.
Liverpool vice-captain Jamie Carragher insists there is nothing wrong with Fernando Torres but
reckons the rest of the team has to improve if they are to help their star striker.
The Spain frontman failed to score for the seventh time in eight appearances this season in the
goalless Europa League draw at FC Utrecht on Thursday night.
Today we've got another topic of discussion by one of our forum members, SpursOllie. Ollie
is a regular attendee to Spurs games who has no obvious online persona so you can't tweet him of
facebook him I'm afraid, although he's always available for a drink pre-match. He'll be the one
with his flies undone.

The Divisi Utama isn't due to start for another couple of weeks, and I have yet to see a fixture
list, but Persikota are already worrying about travel expenses. With a small budget promised, but
not yet delivered, Persikota have some lengthy away games to look forward to three games on the far
eastern island of Papua.
Wolves 0 Arsenal 2
After bemoaning Arsenal starting matches badly, only I could complain about Chamakh scoring so
early that I actually ended up missing the first goal. Getting in late from work, it was great to
see us one up, even if that was the first Arsenal goal I'd missed in ages and ages.
All eyes will be on the clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid with the magnificent Camp Nou
playing host to this top of the table meeting of the eternal rivals. Without disregarding or
belittling the history behind this intense rivalry which extends beyond the football pitch to
engulf social and political agendas, millions of people in Spain and around the world will be
concentrating on what will happen on the field with the great talents such as Xavi, Andres Iniesta
and Lionel Messi taking on Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain and Mesut Özil.
Feeling lucky punk? Well are you? I am, and here is why. We are a very good team who have
suffered from a mixture of bad form, bad luck and bad refereeing over the past two games. Prior to
that we had won two difficult away games and had discovered our fighting spirit.
Does the dire 45 mins v Spurs and the very poor performance in Braga mean we are a poor side
fortunate to be in 3rd place?
I think I mentioned this story a while back about a company geting involved with SLeague side Young
Lions to try and make a few bob off the field. Difficult job given the culture of freebies that
surrounds Singapore football but unlike these whining ninnies I wish them well.
But I feel a whine coming on.
A Poor Excuse For His Side's Disappointing Away Form.
It's just so lame. "We don't win away because other Bundesliga clubs don't take care of their
pitches." I mean come on. Many of the Bundesliga's top clubs play a similar kind of attacking
football, and they've been able to take points on the road.
Arsenal won their first three Champions League Group games this season, and looked like they were
going to comfortably top the group, but successive defeats to both Shakhtar Donetsk and Braga have
left the needing a win against Partizan Belgrade to ensure they qualify in second place. Arsene
Wenger has admitted that he decided to risk [.

Arsenal took their place in the last 16 of the Champions League for the 11th straight season thanks
to a 3-1 win over Partizan Belgrade on Wednesday.
Arsène Wenger's side only needed a win to secure safe passage but it turned out to be a rather
nervous night against the bottom side in Group H.
