Treating men like objects is something we work very hard to do here at Kickette, and we are
excited to pass on the responsibility to you, dear readers.

In case you missed it, last night ESPN hosted the 18th Annual ESPY Awards. Amongst awards for
"Best Jockey" and "Best Bowler", they also handed out three awards to the US Men's National Team
(or specific players from the squad). Landon Donovan picked up the award for "Best MLS Player" and
the "Castrol Edge Performance Under Pressure Award" (not quite the Ballon d'Or, but it still
counts).

When we first heard about the ESPY Awards, we lost hours of our lives thinking about how we

brand we want to marry.

How does a site like Kickette cover the recently released shortlist of players nominated for the
FIFPro World XI?
Well, we compile a list of the eleven hottest players from that list, ask our beloved readers to
critique/slam/dribble on that list, and give our comments moderator a nervous breakdown into the

Let's all raise a glass to the players, WAGs and random situations that our beloved (and click

Alas, the 2010 edition of the World Cup (or, as we like to call it, "The Marriage of Much
Man/Flesh in Motion") is now securely fastened under our Hermes belts. The time has come to bid our
final adieu with a few medals of our own.
Hottest Newcomer
Of all the World Cup Hottie Hunting posts we agonised over, Uruguay's Diego Perez was the cream
of the be-on-the-lookout-for crop.
He won't win. Whatever, though.
A cooler award anyway.
Yes, Didier Drogba has been nominated for the most prestigious award in football. This season,
for the first time, the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year honors have been merged into

Quite frankly, the Kickette army of soldier-girls are the best-dressed, cleverest, and cutest
experts on football around.
That they can also yield a pair of hair straighteners with the speed and agility of a ninja with
nun-chucks whilst simultaneously watching three different games of football (often from three
different leagues) is further proof of their ferosh.

Chelsea as a team still have a lot to do to win the Premier League and the FA cup, but Drogba has
won a personal accolade before that. Drogba has been voted as the 'Chelsea Player of the Year' for

Year.
On Tuesday night the Manchester United lads and their WAGs put on their finery and headed to Old
Trafford for their annual Player Of The Year awards.
Fash-wise, it's hard for the fellas to get it wrong in this situation. After all, their night
likely consists of putting on the same tux they wear every year, making sure their lady doesn't hit
the bubbly too hard and not saying anything embarrassing when interviewed by the in-house TV
channel.
