STARTERSGlasgow's Daily Record has a stunning photo of DaMarcus Beasley's car on fire Monday night. And a
follow up on the story that says gasoline was used to set the car ablaze.

Hooray Beer Indeed!
The Fire usually announce their annual award winners during the pre game festivities of the
first playoff match. There will be no such opportunity this year but the awards will be doled out
anyway. Here's my take on the team's Rookie of the Year, Defender of the Year, and Most Valuable
Player for the 2010 season.
One of the big business stories to come out in the last couple of days was the disappointing
ratings of the MLS Cup Final. According to multiple reports, the match suffered a 44% decline in
its overnight rating. The significant decline can be attributed to a number of factors including
the lack of stars, competition from the NFL and a lack of recognizable teams.

World Cup champions and the last 2 Fifa Award winners.

It was a small lie. But in the Portsmouth story it was difficult to find a more stupid and
pointless one than that of a Portsmouth spokesman who blamed last Thursday's long-forecast
non-payment of December club salaries on "a file not being properly loaded at the bank – it
wasn't processed properly.

1) Chelsea
I have said before that Chelsea wouldn't be in their current first place position without the
brilliant offense that they do possess. Well it never hurts to have the number one rated defense
either. And so far this year Chelsea has averaged giving up less then a goal per game.
So there you have it. CaughtOffside finished in third place in the voting for Best Gossip Site
2009, ahead of the BBC, in the annual Soccerlens Awards so I guess that makes us the second runners
up or something. We also got the second spot in the Editors Choice so thats all cool and groovy.
The fact that it was our good friends at Dirty Tackle and The Spoiler who edged narrowly ahead of
us is of course of scant consolation and a dead fish has been sent express delivery to both of
those sites.
Rewind to February 2009. You would have never seen this, not even with assistance from that
topless palm reader in "Mallrats." It's the third nipple that does it ...
Didier Drogba headlined a deserving list of honorees at last evening's annual Chelsea awards
gala held in the Great Hall in the West Stand at Stamford Bridge.
Here we go - the regular season is over, and now we can look at the official statistics and find
out who led the league in 8 different foul categories. As always, I'll be looking at each player's
stats per 90 minutes, rather than just raw totals.
Which players will win in the eight categories below?
