Being the number one pick in any draft comes with immense pressure.

Former Stuttgart midfielder, Sami Khedira, just cares about one thing this season and that's bringing the title back to Santiago Bernabeu. As Madrid find themselves trophy less for longer than they would have expected, the German midfielder main focus is to end this current drought.

On Sunday, as Alvaro Morata waited for his debut at La Romareda, you'd have been forgiven if you were feeling a little nostalgic. Rarer than a blue moon, last week saw the debut of not one but two Real Madrid canteranos.

Lots of Ligue 1 this afternoon, with Carlos Bocanegra's St Etienne at Lille on Fox Soccer Channel at 1pm. FSC also has Bordeaux - Lens at 3pm. Lyon - Auxerre is on Fox Soccer Plus at 1pm. This is the last match day for the French topflight before their winter break that runs to mid-January. Copa del Rey on Gol TV: Atletico Madrid - Espanyol at 2pm and Real Madrid - Levante at 4pm.

After an epic encounter in Marseille, having Auxerre coming to Gerland probably will almost go unnoticed. But hey, the first half of the season isn't over yet, and we have an opportunity to get 3 points and take the unbeaten run to 12 matches without defeat. It would be good for the team to start the winter break with this comforting fact.
