Olivier Kapo, 27, has joined a different club in England, switching from Birmingham City to
Wigan. Wigan manager Steve Bruce, who will be Kapo's manager for a second time, said Kapo has a
touch of quality about him.
We'd seen some of that quality when Kapo had chances to play for France (he has 9 caps), but his
move to Juventus was a disaster.

Spurs defender Younes Kaboul looks set for a move away from the London club this week with
Portsmouth as favourites to snatch up the Frenchman.
The 22 year old joined Spurs in 2007 from Auxerre and has made 21 first team appearances for Juande
Ramos' side. However after breaking into the first team during Martin Jol's reign at the club, the
defender was soon found out.
Everybody watching this weekend's Old Firm derby must have wondered if that's really Artur Boruc
in Celtic's goal. Something bad is happening to our star goalie; first the alcohol problems and now
a horrible display against Rangers. On a positive note, Artur Wichniarek scored another one for
Arminia and Ireneusz Jelen found the net for Auxerre.

Goals: Lyon (Benzema 1, Fred 9, Kallstrom 52), Auxerre (Thomas 77)
We had to wait until the last day, but we did it! So cue the cheesy "Seventh Heaven"
headlines! Match and celebration pictures after the jump.
This Spurs defender seems surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane but perhaps the most shocking
piece of news is the giant of a club wanting to sign him! Spurs defender Younes Kaboul could make a
shock move to Juventus. Premier League rivals Portsmouth and Middlesbrough, were thought to be the
likely destination for the former Auxerre [.
French soccer is wild!
Nantes midfielder Djamel Abdoun was knocked unconscious after being kicked in the head
by teammate Stefan Babovic during a violent dressing-room bust-up on Friday.
Oddly enough, two days later both were in the starting line-up and played all 90 minutes in the
season-opener against Auxerre.

"agreement in principle" with Marseille over the transfer of the striker.Cisse has been
expected to head for England this season, with Manchester City among the clubs he was linked with,
particularly as his wife still lives in the north west.

The picture on the left has nothing to do with this post, but it makes me laugh for some reason.
It just screams DORK! doesn't it? I don't know if it's the alien eyes, the crooked smile, or the
extremely spiky hair, but I just can't look away from this picture, it has me in stitches. But at
the same time, don't you just want to shout with glee that Hugo Lloris is OUR
keeper as opposed to Milan's?
You wanted a title race? You got it!
Here's the situation. Bordeaux trail Lyon by two points. Tomorrow, Lyon take on Auxerre while
Bordeaux travel to relegation threatened Lens. Thanks to a superior goal difference, Lyon can win
the title with only a draw. But if they slip up, and if Bordeaux beat Lens, then it's over.
On this week's good, the bad and the ugly we feature lots of winners, some losers and Joey Barton!
Click on the links below to find out more about the stories we feature. Good Manchester United are
the winners of the Champions League for the third time in their history after beating Chelsea on
penalties.

capitano romanista Francesco Totti.

First thing: Check out this beauty of an assist that Hatem ben Arfa pulled off
for Marseille in Champions League last week.
Second thing: Hatem is out and Samir Nasri is in for France's game against
Sweden on Wednesday.
What do you think is there intrigue here, or just one player coming and one going?
Great news for lovers of pacy Frenchmen with silly haircuts and two broken legs: Djibril Cissé
is heading back to the Premier League. Cissé's current club Marseille have reached an
"agreement in principle" for the striker to join Sunderland on loan until the end of the
season. Though Cissé's scoring record at Marseille was decent last [.
