The season is over. Only it isn't. Not quite yet. Though it does feel as though an autopsy
should be done, even if after a long campaign that has seen so many of the problems and complaints
remain depressingly consistent it feels as though everything has already been said a dozen times
over and that there is really nothing left to say.
Today was Piermario Morosini's funeral. The Livorno midfielder died tragically five days ago on
the pitch of unknown causes with the autopsy proving inconclusive. But it is likely he suffered
from sudden cardiac arrest that claimed the lives of Marc Vivien Foe, Miklos Feher, Antonio Puerta,
Dani Jarque, and others before him.
For the first time this season, we didn't really have much positive to talk about. The Seattle
Sounders, of course, lost to the San Jose Earthquakes in rather frustrating fashion. Aaron decided
not to show up as a result (not really, he was in New Mexico or something), so Dave was able to
fill in.
Hey all.
I can hear you now. Why is a detailed recap of a game that happened three days ago showing up on
a Tuesday night? Well sometimes one just wants to sit in front of their TV and watch old episodes
of Life (starring Damian Lewis and Sarah Shahi) for hours at a time. Of course this has
consequences.
