The long, long, long dispute between a group of players from Trinidad & Tobago's 2006 World Cup
squad and their national football federation reached a new but not yet final phase today when many
of the physical assets of the federation were seized by order of the Trinidadian High Court. (The

John Terry has today been stripped of the England captaincy for a second time following
allegations of racism.
Terry allegedly called Anton Ferdinand a "black cunt" in Chelsea's defeat against QPR. In last
weekend's Cup game between the two clubs the FA scrapped the traditional handshake ahead of
kick-off after it became apparent that the QPR players would snub Terry in support of
Ferdinand.
Dietman Hamann will forever be remembered and revered by Liverpool fans for his impact in the
Champions League final in 2005, but as the former German International revealed recently, he went
into that match thinking it was his last game for the club, and he was even more disappointed to
discover that he wasn't even in the starting line-up.
Harry Redknapp has been pleading illiteracy and ignorance of his own tax affairs during his current
trial for tax evasion. Prepare yourself for a double dose of irony then when you learn that 'Arry

One day Robbie Keane will write/dictate his autobiography, and it will be filled with fantastic
stories of playing football for some major clubs, living in Italy and the USA and full of scoring
goals. Keane marked his full Aston Villa ...

This is a phrase describing the persuasive power of numbers, particularly the use of statistics
to bolster weak arguments.
It is also sometimes colloquially used to cast doubt upon statistics used to prove an opponent's
point.
The term was popularised in the United States by Mark Twain who attributed it to the
19th-century British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli (1804–1881):
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.

It has been eleven years since former defender Dominic Matteo left Anfield, and to this day, he
still feels sadness over the way Gerard Houllier 'got rid' of him. The arrival of Christian Ziege
in 2000 was the beginning of the end for Matteo's Liverpool career; the Scot saw his first-team
chances severely restricted, and he left for Leeds soon after.

Welcome to the Friday Crackovia Club... a Futbolita special!
Bruno Oro, the fantastic Catalan actor who plays Cristiano
Ronaldo's character (you know it!) has returned again with a fantastic rendition
of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
"Tipoooo! Want a signed copy of my autobiography?" is probably what
Ibrahimovic asked good ol' Messi in this photo, after Milan's 2-3
loss to Barcelona last night. Neither side really have anything to worry about they're both through
to the second round!
Meet some heroes: Cally on Bold Street, Pepe at Liverpool One

Clear the bookshelves, Zlatan and Pepe (and others), Chelsea's Fernando Torres has (another?)
literary masterpiece of his own coming out (again?): 'Fernando Torres: Number 9′.
Let us put aside the stupid non-highlighted-because-I'm-growing-out-my-roots look Fernando is
trying to bring back into favour and talk about the levels of hotness that were sizing us up (yeah
right) at today's autobiography presentation in Madrid.
Today's profile is penned by Ian Rands. Ian a is a regular visitor to our pages; most recently
penning a review of Alan Biggs' new autobiography. Here he looks at perhaps the brightest of
Sheffield United's crop of teenage sensations: It has been a whirlwind last 6 months for 18 year
old Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire.
There may have been no action on the field last week, however, there was still much talk off it. We
can thank the release of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's autobiography for this; it hit the shelves on
November 11. Before being published, AC Milan supporters and football fans in general were
impatiently waiting for the release date.
Love him or hate him, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world.
The Swedish International has in the past few weeks been in the spotlight for revealing personal
details about his professional relationships in some of the world's biggest clubs.
Ibrahimovic who is scheduled to launch his autobiography in the next few days, continued with
his shocking remarks on Wednesday during an interview with La Gazetta Dello Sport.
For Jack Taylor, the referee for the 1974 World Cup final, handling players was much like
handling the clientele at the Wolverhampton butcher shop he worked at throughout his career.
"I think my experience behind the counter at the butcher's shop helped because it made me fairly
good at chatting people up," he wrote in his 1976 autobiography, Jack Taylor: World Soccer
Referee.

When he's not breaking ribs at A.C. Milan, Oguchi Onyewu travels back in time to break Bruce
Lee's ribs in Game of Death.
Seemingly celebrating the first anniversary of his altercation with Sporting Lisbon defender and
U.S. international Oguchi Onyewu, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has released an autobiography that briefly
details the fight (among other, far less interesting self-aggrandizement).
It was a fight that we didn't hear many details about, but given the players involved, it
figured to be a serious scuffle.
Now we know just how serious.
Just days after the one-year anniversary of the Oguchi Onyewu-Zlatan Ibrahimovic fight, details
have surfaced about the highly-publicized brawl that left one of the combatants with a broken
rib.
Listen up everyone, it's story time with Zlatan! Image via Reuters/Vasily Fedosenko.
Zlatan and Pepe are about to unleash their inner Shakespeares, Kickettes.
It seems like Zlatan has all sort of secrets & gossip hidden under that hideous ponytail. His
autobiography, which will be released in Sweden and Italy in two week's time, already has people
talking after a few choice outlets were given an advance copy.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina admits the stability brought by Fenway Sports Group restored his
faith in the club.
Reina revealed in his autobiography that he considered leaving Anfield for Arsenal in the summer of
2010 only for former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to block the transfer fearing it would
send out the wrong message to any potential buyers.
AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is no stranger to controversy and judging by his recent
remarks, the Swede is far from burying his hatchet with Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola.
Ibrahimovic was traded to Barcelona in the summer of 2009 after it became apparent that striker
Samuel Eto'o had become surplus to requirements in the Catalan dressing room.

In his autobiography, Pepe Reina implicitly criticised Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher for not
speaking out against the Liverpool's owners at the time, Tom Hicks and George Gillett. Gerrard has
now explained why he kept silent.
In his book, Reina states:
"The way I saw it, Stevie and Carra are the two principle members of our squad, the ones who the
people love and if they had said something maybe it would have put Hicks and Gillett under real
pressure.

Fill 'er up Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina has problems. In his new autobiography, the Spaniard has
revealed the lengths he goes to in order to satisfy his pre-match superstitions. These unusual
quirks are not uncommon in footballers, who often have OCD tendencies or insist on putting one shin
pad on before the other.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has revealed the details of an explosive row he had with Anfield
stalwart Jamie Carragher, which spilled over into the dressing room after beginning on the
pitch.
Reina and Carragher, both mainstays of the Reds rearguard since the Spanish shot-stopper joined the
club in 2005, clashed in an unnamed game because of a disagreement about passing options.

Pepe: We were all put in a bad situation
Pepe Reina's autobiography is out today and depending on how candid he's chosen to be we'll
maybe find out a lot more about the player than we deserve to. When we read it, rather than just
take in soundbites hand-picked by newspaper columnists unconnected to the book and looking for
something juicy for a headline, we'll have a better insight into a man we rely on far more than
some would like to give him credit for.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina claims the club blocked him from making a £20million move to
Arsenal in the summer of 2010.
Reina admits he was tempted to leave Merseyside after returning from Spain's victorious World Cup
campaign last year to find the Reds in a downward spiral.
Manager Rafa Benitez had been sacked, while director Christian Purslow was desperately seeking new
owners to replace Tom Hicks and George Gillett as the club struggled under a financial crisis.
Blog: No dressing room divisions
