The border war is set to begin in an hour and the streets in this corner of Germany are empty. The
sounds of blowing horns and music from the public viewing area situated at the brewery on the hill
are floating across the town on this balmy June evening. The tension and expectation are palpable.
No matter the result, the opening whistle will be orgasmic.

The Houston Chronicle is reporting that forward Joseph Ngwenya has signed with Austrian club SK
Austria. We talked about this possible move a few weeks ago, one that I kind of laughed at the idea
of him going to. I didn't think at the time that it was a smart move on his part to [...]

Less than 10 days ago Marc Janko was a Name To Remember. Since then, he's gone from "hey,
remember my name" to "hey, I think I'll make European history". Marc's played two
games since that post (three technically, since it was amended to include the hat trick he scored
that day) and in those two [..
In what's been one of the more compelling stories of the MLS off-season, the Chicago Fire and New
York Red Bulls are at it again over a player. Currently both clubs are off in training camps, the
Fire in Mexico (go figure) and Red Bulls in Austria (go figure as well..) and both have recently
filed [.
There was a link to the story on Marc Janko with FIFA in the Daily Dose yesterday, so I decided to
check out the Red Bull Salzburg match this evening to catch a glimpse of this goalscoring monster
and all I can muster is...wow. The Austrian Bundesliga isn't exactly a top drawer league, but it's

Who would have thought that the established Germany team would be in this position as presented by
this live online and radio commentary Euro 2008 group match between Austria and Germany live as
they are in a bad position and need nothing less than a win to be assured of a place in the next
round. On top of that, they have to fight the ghost of Cordoba in this live online streaming match
and hope that it does not come back to haunt them, as the Austrians achieved a famous win over them
in the past.
Wow, a huge upset in the first round of European World Cup qualifiers as Austria beat France 3-1.
When you look at those lineups, there is no way that France should not at least have come out of
Vienna without a draw, and even that would have to be considered an upset. I am sure that the
pressure is now squarely on Raymond Domenech, but it really should be on the French FA for keeping
Domenech after the debacle that was the French performance at Euro 2008.
Finland's U21 team has a chance of achieving what would be the best achievement in Finnish football
so far as they play Austria twice. The winner of the tie will qualify for the U21 European
Championships to be held in Sweden next year. Markku Kanerva is unlikely to change his team
compared to the group stage [.

Saturday 21st June I'm writing this article sat, post shower, in the room of our hotel by Vienna
Airport. I still cannot comprehend how we've lost a game we dominated and scored in the final
minute of. It does not make sense. It must be wrong, it is surely us in the semi final against
Germany. Isn't it?
After an interesting start to Euro 2008, this live online and radio commentary Euro 2008 match
between Austria and Croatia live will hopefully provide the same kind of atmosphere, excitement and
drama created by the opening game between the other co-host and the Czech Republic. Of course, no
one will hope that the same unlucky fate befalls Austria in this live online streaming match as it
did on Switzerland when their star player suffered a tournament ending injury and the hopes of the
nation seemed to have gone with him.
We continue our Euro 2008 photo series with a look at the police in Austria and Switzerland.
Just as we asked for support for the other co-host yesterday once again we ask for the same support for this live online and radio commentary Euro 2008 group match between Austria and Poland live in the hopes that at least one of the co-hosts are able to go on to the quarterfinals. While it might be a far fetched dream and certainly one with much difficulty, it can be done in this live online streaming match as was seen in the game yesterday when the Swiss came within a whisker of having some hope of getting through if not for a last minute goal.

Don't let the above picture fool you. Despite the "friendly" intentions of Austria's
nº16 on Gennaro Gattuso (sorry, couldn't resist...), Italy vs. Austria seemed, at times,
anything but friendly. In fact as soon as they were up by two goals, the Austrians thought this
could very well be exploit-day for them.
I've finally had a chance to catch up on watching some of the Euro 2008 matches I missed. The jet

Austria vs. Germany

The storyline: Germany only need a draw to ensure qualification for the quarterfinals and a
date with Portugal.
Former Houston Dynamo and Zimbabwe international striker Joseph Ngwenya is on a three week trial
with Bayern Munich, which seems to prove a rumor that circulated back in January when Ngwenya moved
to Austrian side Kärnten. The rumor had Jurgen Klinsmann 'hiding' Ngwenya in Austria until he
took over as manager of Bayern.

Euro 2008 betting punters looking to pull out a few shocks should probably steer clear of Group B
as co-hosts Austria and Poland, both looking to make a mark in their first-ever appearance in the
tournament, will have their work cut out to prevent the favourites Germany and impressive Croatia
from marching into the last-eight.

Was it just me, or did you all also get a sense of déjà vu when watching today's action
from Group B? I felt like I was witnessing yesterday's games all over again. Consider: • Both
yesterday's first game and today's first game ended 1-0, and yesterday's second game and today's
second game both ended 2-0.
Austria 0 - Croatia 1
Germany 2 - Poland 0
I am sorry I doubted Germany. Indeed, I apologize. Aside from Jens Lehmann's shaky play early on (and he settled as the match continued), it was more or less smooth sailing for the Nationalelf. In other words, they showed why they are favored to win the tournament.

Departure
Euro 2008 started for us in the departure lounge Luton airport as we waited for the cattle class fight to Vienna. In the departure lounge sat a large group of Polish fans singing their heads off whilst there was a smattering of Croats decked out in red and white cheques and holding a massive flag aloft.
