Swept up by my entirely-too-cluttered newsreader yesterday was a blog post out of Australia entitled "A-League has much to learn from football in America". Much of my daily news consumption outside...

With J Hutcherson -- It's hardly fair to go back and start comparing the strength of a lineup t what it could've been if a game had counted. The United States played Australia on Saturday in an environment that was odd for both teams, with lineups that were still not whole, and substitutions that probably wouldn't be made with points on the line.

Buddle smashes home a goal against Australia

Edson Buddle was a late arrival to the discussion when the United States national team was being put together, but what an addition he's made.
