As Aurora at last emerged from the shadow of their Cochabamba rivals
Wilstermann in 2008 by accomplishing their first league triumph in the Bolivian
closing championship and can face up to the prospect of entertaining Gremio in
this season's Copa Libertadores, we take a closer look at the nation's most successful domestic
clubs.
Universidad de Chile's Marcelo Díaz scored early in the first half as the
Chilean side defeated Pachuca in the first leg of the 2009 Copa Libertadores preliminary round. On
February 4th, the clubs will face off at Estadio Hidalgo in the second leg.
The winner after the two-legged round will advance to a group containing Brazil's Gremio, Bolivia's
Aurora, and Columbia's Boyacá Chicó.
