Chance Myers and Aurelien Collin are the only two players to start every game in all competitions
this year.
Myers, Collin, Matt Besler, and Graham Zusi are the only 4 players to appear in every game so far
this season.
Three players, Jon Kempin, Konrad Warzycha, and Dom Dwyer made their professional debut.
Seven is heaven. Last night in Vancouver, Sporting Kansas City was able to extend their lead a top
not only the Eastern conference but all of MLS, with a 3-1 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps. A
crowd of Cauldron/Sporting KC fans traveled to Vancouver for the game, with close to 70 traveling
for the game, a number that would have been considered a good home attendance Cauldron only about 7
years ago, as the section has grown in leaps and bounds in the last few years.
There were only two Wednesday MLS games this week and they seemingly had little in common. The
results, however, were all about streaks that were on the line in the games. Both streaks are
amazing in their own way and ...

The win was KC's 200th in league play. They're the 5th MLS team to hit 200 wins.
The win also put KC over the .500 record. The team is currently 200-199-100 in league play.
Wednesday in Vancouver will be the team's 500th game.
The game was the 250th league home game for KC. The team is 135-72-43 in league play at home.

Last night, KC proved, at least for now, that they are the best team in the league, with a 1-0 win
over Real Salt Lake. The win moves KC to 6-0 with 18 points, and an 8 point advantage on second
place New York in the East. The two top teams in the league went toe to toe last night, and KC
almost made it through another game without a shot on goal.
For the first time in the post shootout era of MLS, an MLS team has started the season with 5
straight wins. KC became that team on Saturday with a 1-0 win that wasn't as close as the score
showed. KC dominated possession for long stretches of time, especially in the first half when they
had about 68% possession of the ball.

Here are stats from last night's game, including a milestone goal from Aurelien Collin.
Aurelien Collin's goal was the 700th in league history for Sporting KC. KC is the 6th team to hit
that mark.
In the 63rd minute, Kei Kamara hit the 10,000 minute mark in his MLS career.

Sporting KC's game against FC Dallas was expected to be much closer, and it paid up to that
billing, but KC came from a goal down and was able to beat Dallas 2-1, thanks to a beautiful team
goal that was finished by Kei Kamara. KC did well early on to create some chances, putting plenty
of shots on target on Kevin Hartman.
Some quick hits on new for some Sporting KC players.
Bunbury and US U23 Team Top FC Dallas
In the first of a few scrimmages in the current US Under 23 camp, the US team pulled out a 2-1 win
over FC Dallas. Dallas grabbed the lead through Andrew Jacobsen off a corner. Shortly after the US
equalized through Ike Opara off a Freddy Adu corner.
No major news out today, but here are some quick hits news wise for you on your Friday.
Sporting KC vs LA game time changed
Sporting KC's match up with LA on April 7th at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park has changed times and
stations. Yesterday the team announced that the game would now kick off 1 hour earlier at 3pm
Central time.
Sporting KC moved one step closer to a potential trip to LA and MLS Cup last night when they took
out the Colorado Rapids at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, winning 2-0 on the night and 4-0 on aggregate.
The shutout was the team's fourth straight, the most in a row since the team's run to the
championship in 2000.
Aurelien Collin made an interesting comment on Twitter the other day, saying that he is going to be
an American citizen soon. It's an interesting comment and extremely odd at the same time. Collin
hasn't spent near enough time in the country to be getting his citizenship. The more likely thing
that is going on is that Collin is going to be getting his green card.
The injuries for Sporting Kansas City seem to continue to mount up, with news on two more players
coming out today. First for some good news, the team posted on Twitter today that captain, Davy
Arnaud had returned to training. Combine that with the return of Craig Rocastle to game play
yesterday in the reserve game.
With tomorrow being the first game on August, it's time to take a look at the July player of the
month. The Wizards went 2-0-4 in league play in the month of July. There was also the disappointing
2-0 loss to Richmond in the US Open Cup, as well as the 0-0 draw with Newcastle. KC scored 10 goals
in July while allowing 7 in league play.
Sporting KC took a big blow today with the news that starting defender, Aurelien Collin will miss
the next 6 weeks due to a back injury. Collin picked up the injury in the Wizards 4-2 win over
Toronto FC over the weekend, having to be subbed just after the hour mark. The Frenchman looks set
to miss the rest of the long home stand for KC due to the injury.
Sporting KC picked up a point on the road last night down in Houston, in a 1-1 draw with the
Dynamo. Read that statement on it's own and you'd think that was a good result for the Wizards in a
location that they haven't played well in over their history. But when you explain that KC played
up a man for about 20 minutes, and played up 2 men for 20 minutes, 40 minutes with a numerical
advantage, then the draw loses a lot of it's luster.
Aurelien Collin ensured Sporting Kansas City extended their unbeaten run to 11
games with a 90th minute equaliser against Houston Dynamo last night.
Sporting Kansas City extended their unbeaten run to 8 league games, 10 in all competitions as they
scored two early goals against the Portland Timbers, saw a wonder goal from Darlington Nagbe, and
then held on late to win 2-1 to move into fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Early on Portland
had some of the better possession, but it was Aurelien Collin who almost found the opener in the
8th minute off a free kick from Graham Zusi, his header going just wide of the post.

Sporting KC fell behind early against the Vancouver Whitecaps last night at LiveSTRONG Sporting
Park, but were able to fight back and win all three with goals by Omar Bravo and Julio Cesar to
give KC a 2-1 win over the Canadian side.
I have to say that I was probably a little more optimistic about this game after seeing the
pounding SKC gave FC Dallas. But, I was also a little worried that Vermes was going to go back to
his beloved 4-3-3 formation that hasn't worked well. But, when I saw that Omar Bravo was going to
replace Stojcev (who was suspended) I was again excited.
In what turned into a fairly physical affair last night at LiveStrong Sporting Park, Sporting KC
made a goal by CJ Sapong stand up for the winner as KC got their first win at their new stadium,
1-0 over the San Jose Earthquakes. KC made only 2 changes to the lineup that beat Dallas 4-1 last
weekend.
Here are your stats for Monday.
Luke Sassano scored his first ever MLS goal.
Aurelien Collin's goal was his first MLS league goal.
Milos Stojcev's red card was KC's 5th of the season, they had only 4 all of last year.
Matt Besler made his 50th league appearance for KC, he's the 38th player to hit that mark for KC.
When the lineup for tonight's game against FC Dallas was announced, I don't know if there were many
fans, if any, predicting a point, let alone all three as Sporting KC took it to FC Dallas, winning
4-1, even though they played the last 30 plus minutes down a man. With virtually only 18 players
healthy, or not with their national team, KC looked set to continue their long winless run, while
Dallas looked set to extend their own unbeaten run to 10 games.
I showed up at LiveSTRONG Sporting Park yesterday and couldn't take the smile off my face,
everything to do with the stadium just made me smile. Then the game started...
It was the same Sporting KC we'd seen for much of this season, struggling to create offensively,
but prone to a few defensive mistakes.
Well in my prediction on Friday night I said that this game looked like it would be a dull, drab
0-0 or 1-0 result, and it turned out to be exactly that. After Toronto's 6-2 loss last week I
expected them to sit a little deeper and play a similar game plan to the one KC did in Seattle
after losing 4-1 to LA.
Yes it was basically the New England Revolution reserves. Yes it wasn't a league game. But it felt
good tonight to get a win. And a big win it was. A mix of starters and reserves took it to the
Revolution, winning 5-0 thanks two a pair of braces from Chance Myers and CJ Sapong on a night when
it started to rain right before kickoff and continued to rain throughout the game.
MLS' disciplinary committee today announced that Aurelien Collin will not be suspended for this
weekend's game against New York. Collin was given a red card for "striking an opponent" aka shoving
Benny Feilhaber. The league announced that after reviewing the play it was a case of mistaken
identity as Birahim Diop was the one that shoved Feilhaber.
Sporting Kansas City announced today that they will be appealing the red card that was given to
Sporting KC defender Aurelien Collin in the team's 3-2 loss to New England last weekend. Collin was
given the red card after an altercation after a Sporting KC corner kick. On the play Collin went up
for a header against Revolution goalkeeper, Matt Reis.
Another away game, another 3 goals given up, and another red card. These are things that are
becoming way to common when talking about the Wizards games. The only difference with this game
from the previous is the fact Sporting KC played solid for most of the game. For the first time I
don't feel like SKC beat themselves in this game.
Here are the stats from yesterday's game.
Aurelien Collin was the 150th player to appear in a competitive game for Sporting KC.
Collin picked up the third red card of the season for KC, they picked up 4 in all of last
season.
Kei Kamara's first goal tonight broken his tie with Igor Simutenkov, Miklos Molnar, and Chris
Henderson for 17th on that list.
Today is transfer deadline day for MLS' "primary" window, and as expected, Sporting Kansas City
made a move. It may not have been the exciting, potentially surprising move that some people
thought, but it was a long expected move and definitely fills a big need on the team. Today Kansas
City officially signed Aurelien Collin to help shore up the back line.
In the past day or so there's been some interesting news on some potential players for KC that has
come out. The biggest bit of news came from Robb Heineman last night on Twitter where he stated
that the team had come to a verbal agreement with a defender/defensive midfielder. Certainly a good
sign after the performance late in the game in Vancouver.
Today on Twitter, Robb Heineman announced that Sporting KC had a new player coming in. Aurelian
Collin, who had been rumored to be coming to the club back in December by The Daily Wiz has
apparently been signed. Collin is a 25 year old French defender who most recently played with
Vitoria Setubal in Portugal, where he signed a 2 year contract in 2009.
