As readers of Inside Minnesota are fully aware, I was at the heart of reporting the story of the
battle for control of Division II soccer that took place this past fall and early winter. Inside
Minnesota Soccer was actually reporting on some of these issues for over a year, but stepped up the

with the United Soccer League.
Here's the audio from Roche's interview with D.C. United goalkeeper Troy Perkins. Troy discusses
playing with the U.S. Men's National Team, his time in Norway (apparently, speaking Norwegian is
hard!), and his return to D.C. United.
Troy is hoping to start tomorrow for the U.S. Men's National Team when it takes on Honduras (9 p.

Here's the full audio from Friday's edition of World Football Daily. To hear the interview with
Curt Onalfo, skip ahead to the 16:00 minute mark. United's skipper discusses the current roster
make-up, his excitement for the new season, Cristian Castillo, surviving Hodgkin's Disease, and
other League items.
Todays guest is Teal Bunbury. Teal was the winner of the prestigious 2009 Hermann Trophy
presented on Friday night at the Missouri Athletic Club. Bunbury becomes just the third sophomore
to win the award and IMS talks to Teal about that experience.
Teal also talks about his decision to leave college early and sign a Project Adidas contract to
go pro, and we talk about the influence living in Europe as a child had on him as a soccer
player.
D.C. United midfielder/forward Chris Pontius spoke to the guys at World Football Daily on

season, the team's new coaches and much more.
Now, the question is - will he see some time in tonight's game versus Honduras?
Jaime Moreno was a guest on The Soccer Hour with Glenn Davis last night. The League's all-time

38:10 mark to listen to the full interview.

As the opening games of the 2010 FIFA World Cup where approaching, I thought I would speak to
some players of the NSC Minnesota Stars about the games. But the players I spoke to have a bigger
stake in this World Cup than most of us. For the first time ever, the World Cup is being played on
the continent of Africa.
