Another brazen dive from Arsenal's resident cheat.
Eboue clearly dives to the ground without any contact from Puyol.
To his credit, Arsene Wenger slammed Eboue after the match in the harshest of terms:
"It is clear there was no foul. I condemn and regret the attitude of Eboue.
Anderson has gone off the boil since his storming first season with Manchester United, which he
ended with scoring one of the sudden death penalties in the European Cup final against Chelsea.
Still, in the pre-season he scored a blinding freekick against Boca Juniors and this week he
scored for the Reserves.

Footballers who cheat are undoubtedly a blight on the modern game, but fans who accept and
encourage cheating are possibly even worse. And yes, such fans do exist, as the following examples
prove.
I am a Liverpool fan, but in my experience, Liverpool fans can be massive hypocrites when it comes
to diving.
Brian Clough's managerial career has been well documented, but it often completely overshadows
the success Clough had as a player. Whilst he was often accused of nepotism towards his son Nigel
whilst he was the manager of Nottingham Forest, it wasn't hard to see where the younger player got
his footballing talent from.
A message to a deluded mercenary.
Emmanuel Adebayor insists he 'can't regret' stamping on Robin van Persie because he did
not intend to hurt his former Arsenal team-mate and says the abuse he received from Gunners fans
forced him to reach breaking point.
The Football Association have hit Adebayorwith a three-match ban for violent conduct following
an incident in Manchester City's 4-2 win over Arsenal last weekend.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Philippe Senderos is not "starting again" with the
Gunners after spending some time on loan with A.C. Milan.
Speaking ahead of tonight's game which will see the Swiss International making his debut for
Arsenal, the Frenchman said:
I don't believe he is starting his career with us again because we know how good he is but it is
a new start let's say.
Babels latest outburst is that he feels that Rafa has broken promises to give him more playing
time, and he now wants to go out on loan to Ajax.
It's disappointing that Babel doesn't realise that he's responsible for his own actions, and that
Rafa has been exceptionally patient with him. It's his own fault that he has repeatedly failed to
take the opportunities given to him.
The future's bright.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes under-fire Anderson will win over his critics by finally
coming good for Manchester United.
Anderson has been heavily criticised for a string of average performances which have seen him
regularly dropped from Sir Alex Ferguson'sstarting Xl.
Manchester United season ticket holder, Andy Cole, has praised our strikeforce today, claiming
that Wayne Rooney is ready to fill Cristiano Ronaldo's boots and that Dimitar Berbatov is
'elegant'.
"Rooney has started the season really well," said Cole. "He's ready to step into
Ronaldo's shoes.
Alex Song has flourished in his role as the deepest midfielder, his tackling and pressing key to
Arsenal's impressive start to the season.

It's funny how a fresh start can result in a change in attitude and fortune.

Cescy is disappointed that he didn't get to start against Belgium but fortunately,
este vato has been catching up with episodes of My Little Pony and
brimming with positivity. "I would like to play more, but I consider the decisions of
Vicente Del Bosque and I respect them," he said yesterday.
Russian star puts his foot down!
Even in imposing a vow of silence, the Arshavins can create headlines.
Andrey's wife, Yulia, was in trouble earlier this year for claiming that English people were
'too reserved', the country was 'dull' and the food was sub-standard.
The last time Arsenal faced Wigan Athletic the game will go down as the nadir for Eboue. He
had a nightmare of a game and was booed by his own fans, to cap it all Wenger was forced to
withdraw Eboue to save him from further torture. The Ivorian left the field in tears and was
consoled by his team-mates.
Ok, first things first: Giants Stadium is huge, and terrible for soccer. Red Bull Arena can't
open soon enough. I'm sure that The Meadowlands is a great place to go watch throwball, but for
footie—not so much. It's cavernous, it's empty, the pitch is tiny, and the surface is almost
comically hard.
Oh dear! After Saturday's lovely clear sunny skies across the country, Islington was completely
covered with a grey lid of cloud yesterday. It was as if the sky was in mourning for our result
against Manchester City.
First things first. We didn't play THAT badly. City's opener was against the run of play.
Jose Mourinho has continued his special ways as he announced his Inter Milan starting eleven an
entire day before his side's crucial Champions League fixture against Barcelona. The former Chelsea
manager was never afraid to pull this stunt during his time in the Premier League, and his latest
display raises the question: is the special one arrogant or intelligent?
OK, so I'm more than a bit late with this, but it's interesting that Kei Kamara, a product of
Leuzinger High and Cal State Dominguez Hills, is on his third MLS club in three years.
Is his attitude a problem? Or maybe it's his production - just 14 goals in 80 games for the
Dynamo.
Read the story behind his latest move here.
Zlatan Ibrahmovic, the tall Swedish Striker has been the focus point of all discussion regarding FC
Barcelona this season, and I firmly believe that this is going to continue throughout this season.
Guardiola's decision to replace swap Eto with Ibrahmovic did raise some eyebrows (including mine)
and Zlatan's every action on the pitch will be under the scanner for the whole season.
by CARL ELDRIDGE Clear your throats ahead of tonight's rendition of
that old school Arsenal classic: "Phillippe Senderos, la, la, la, la. la (repeat to fade)."
Because, yes folks, he's back! Just when you thought it was safe to pass your Senderos shirt (I
still have my Igor Stepanovs top BTW) to the charity shop, the big Swiss defender returns for the
Gunners in tonight's Carling Cup clash with West Brom at the home of football.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez says Fernando Torres has yet to reach his peak despite a brilliant
hat-trick in the 6-1 demolition of Hull City at Anfield.
The Spain striker hit three goals in the opening 47 minutes - after Geovanni had briefly equalised
- and terrorised the Hull defence all afternoon.
Gary Neville believes that wonder kid Wayne Rooney can one day break Sir Bobby Charlton's record of
scoring goals for Manchester United. And this comes after Rooney claimed to remain with the Red
Devils for life. There's no doubt that Rooney has got immense talent in him. And Neville praised
Rooney's attitude and work ethics and hence sees him become one of Old Trafford's greatest players.
Welcome to Ask the Oppo! Perry Groves' Lovechild is still on an extended break so today Eldo71
talks to Stuart Watson from our sister site: www.mancityinsider.com ahead of this afternoon's match
at Eastlands.
CE: It's been a long while since there was as much anticipation of a
City-Arsenal match.
Twisted fire starter Richard Scudamore generally lies low.
He is a man who was made for the shadows.
And, as ever, his words are carefully chosen, rather too carefully...
Apparently, Adebayor has "damaged the Premier League's brand" which is a bit ripe coming from the
android who has sold out top flight English football to ########

We would have thought that the brand of football had already been damaged quite enough actually.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was delighted after his side's 4-0 at the Emirates against Wigan.
The Gunners made sure of all three points thanks to a brace by Thomas Vermaelen and two goals from
Eduardo and captain Cesc Fabregas.
The Frenchman told Sky Sports:
We scored many goals and didn't concede, and three days after a very physically demanding game
in Liege it is good to see we could repeat a good performance.

Nope, not the Gunnersaurus, the little man next to him, Andrey Arshavin. He offers another
dimension to the team and is one of those players that when you see their name on the team-sheet
you are either very wary of them, or excited to be alongside them. Of course, depending on what
side you are on.
Having not seen the game from beginning to end, I don't feel 100% qualified to comment too much
on Chelsea's first defeat of the season. That said, I think I've seen enough to know that the
doomsday-like pessimism from some Chelsea fans on message boards and forums is just as knee-jerk as
the talk of Chelsea being shoo-ins for the title had been before Saturday's loss.

by CARL ELDRIDGE Arsene Wenger is set to become the longest-serving manager in Arsenal's history
and this morning's papers feature our leader to some degree.
The Sun reports that Wenger will break George Allison's record of 4,748 days at the helm from
June, 1934, to May, 1947 on Thursday.
