SAF got attitude One of the most notable onlookers at the Emirates Stadium last night was David
Beckham. But Sir Alex Ferguson wasn't going to let bygones be bygones. He totally blanked Becks and
cuddled up to Fabio Capello instead as his ex-player stood around looking like a spare part.
Hilarious video footage of this to follow [.
Before I wind up any Americans reading this, let me preface this by saying that I too am
American. Just as much as any other American, I'd love to see the United States become a
footballing powerhouse. We've certainly got the numbers - 300,000,000 citizens - and the melting
pot effect means we've got people from all walks of life (Brazilian, English, Italian, etc.
What is going on?
Portsmouth Vs Liverpool Tickets Still Available!
Reports surfacing today suggest that Rafa Benitez and Javier Mascherano are going to clash over
the Argentine midfielders demands for a new improved contract, something our boss is unlikely to
give in to, mainly because the Liverpool boss doesn't believe the former West Ham man deserves an
increased offer given his very average start to the season.
Hello everybody. How's your Friday going? First home match of the year is tomorrow, and we're
playing Portsmouth, who are shite. In face, they're probably going to get relegated. I've put some
money on Arsenal to win -2 goals, so we pretty much need to win by three for me to get paid. I'd
very much appreciate it if you could pull that off Arsenal.
We've been split down the middle with our opinions of Dimitar Berbatov ever since he made the
decision to swap North London for Old Trafford. You've had those supporters that are mesmerised by
his beautiful touch and close control and then there are fans who continually berate his
unambiguous lacksidasical style that, at the end of the day, epitomises him as a player.
25% of blog posts in Britain are fake.
These bloggers are paid by the inevitable middle people to include content that is linked to a
particular website.
We are inundated with such proposals, as they are seeking blogs that are trusted by their
readership.
Some of these operations are less shady than others but, with the worst examples, the blogger is
paid markedly extra for including positive content about the website with an embedded link in the
post.
Disliking players from your own team, the team you love and adore, is an odd feeling. Kieran
Richardson probably brought about the strongest feelings of dislike I'd had from one of our own,
probably worked up by all the other reds I spoke to, but still a rational enough feeling. He saw
himself as Jonny Big Balls and didn't have the attitude we expect from players who have come
through the ranks.
Another brazen dive from Arsenal's resident cheat.
Eboue clearly dives to the ground without any contact from Puyol.
To his credit, Arsene Wenger slammed Eboue after the match in the harshest of terms:
"It is clear there was no foul. I condemn and regret the attitude of Eboue.
Before I begin let me make it clear that the deal between Barcelona and Inter Milan is not yet
complete. So the following is purely speculation on my part. And, as a fan of Barcelona, I hope
with every fibre in my body, that the deal falls through.
Zlatan, a consistent underachiever
For those of you who are not aware of the situation the proposed deal is that Barcelona would swap
Samuel Eto'o and send Hleb on a year loan, on top of a 45m euro fee in order to bring Zlatan
Ibrahimovich to the Camp Nou.
AP Photo/Riccardo De Luca
Barcelona president Joan Laporta talked about the current situation regarding Samuel Eto'o's
contract negotiations. The two sides have been at a stand still since seasons end with daily rumors
in the media linking the Cameroon striker with every major team in Europe.
With this article, I realize that I risk angering some staunch Inter Milan supporters. But
since I have waited three long years to express my views on this issue, I feel obliged to let
them out. The truth is, I simply can't fathom why no one can stop Inter Milan in the Italian Serie
A.
Perhaps it is the lackluster attitude of their guilty rivals ever since the notorious
match-fixing scandals of 2006.
If late night media reports are to be believed, as I type this Samuel Eto'o is most likely being
relieved of his post at the Camp Nou and being replaced by none other than that long haired
half-bred douche... Zlatan 'F**k Im Good' Ibrahimovic!
The only thing that remains is for the club to reach an agreement with the
player.
Anderson has gone off the boil since his storming first season with Manchester United, which he
ended with scoring one of the sudden death penalties in the European Cup final against Chelsea.
Still, in the pre-season he scored a blinding freekick against Boca Juniors and this week he
scored for the Reserves.

So says Caleb Folan Hull boss Phil Brown has been labelled 'childish' by striker Caleb Folan. The
Republic of Ireland international has spoken out over comments made by Brown before Folan was
loaned to Middlesbrough. The Tigers' manager questioned Folan's attitude and ability to play in the
Premier League.
A mirror into the divide between England's wholehearted embrace of the financial stimulus and
the rest of the European countries go slow attitude. The overtly capitalistic Premiership does not
just attract the most money but it also likes to live beyond its means.
The Forbes list of the top 20 richest clubs is out, and Arsenal finds itself behind Man U and
Real at the top in valuations.
Let me start out by saying that I will take three points any day, any time, any way. I will take
a home win, I will take the first victory of the season, and I will take the clean sheet that came
with it.
But that doesn't mean I have to be entertained by it.
We're now seven weeks into the season, with the Galaxy completing game six.
I've yet to see Cristiano Ronaldo's reaction to being substituted but I've received enough texts
to know it wasn't pretty.
I can appreciate the frustration of being subbed off in a big game and I think it's a good sign
that Ronaldo wants to play every minute for us. That is a healthy attitude.
I think Wayne Rooney is the dog's bollocks. If we had eleven of him, I'd be made up. He swears
too much at the ref, which is something I can do without, but other than that, I struggle to find
fault with him.
He's brilliantly skilful, passionate, determined, a grafter, fast, cheeky and he has it in him
to stay at the club forever.
Things are going all right, I would say. I think everyone now, for the most part, is completely
adjusted to the time. Maybe there are only a few left who are struggling to sleep. Thankfully, I'm
not one of them. The first night was definitely rough though. I was up at 4 am and couldn't fall
back asleep for the life of me.
If you ever thought that Adebayor was greedy, well the stories doing the rounds today is that
Adebayor is not delaying his move to Manchester City because of his concern over the wages he will
be earning. He is not delaying the move in the hope that AC Milan or another blind manager will
come and fork out £25 million for him.
There's something sarong about Becks' attitude
I know this isn't US Soccer related, but I find this situation pretty annoying. David Beckham
abandoned his team for half a season. Instead of admitting he did in order to achieve his
personal goals (pretty understandable), he tried to deflect heat by claiming all other players in
his situation would have chosen the same path.
Footballers who cheat are undoubtedly a blight on the modern game, but fans who accept and
encourage cheating are possibly even worse. And yes, such fans do exist, as the following examples
prove.
I am a Liverpool fan, but in my experience, Liverpool fans can be massive hypocrites when it comes
to diving.
Turkey hope to sustain their World Cup qualifying hopes in Belgium, but the hosts will just want to
avoid another fiasco.
"But the mentality of some of the players is deplorable ... we got fed up with the many intolerable
things that made it impossible for us to do our jobs .
Misfiring striker Andriy Voronin has told of his determination to help Liverpool get this season
back on track. Does he have anything to offer or is he a lost cause?
The Ukraine striker has yet to find the back of the net in eight games this season, and to be fair,
hasn't even looked remotely like scoring.
Our best player at Newcastle this season, without much doubt has been out young 22 year French
center-back Sebastien Bassong. Seb Bassong - Newcastle's best player this season And Sebastien is
not only playing well right now, when it matters, but he also has a tremendous attitude, and
whatever happens come the summer, we have to [.
This week's Four at the Back is up. We talk about ties. We talk about profanity in the stadiums. We
talk about the NASL - well, Kenn talks about the great reunion that Ron and Rob Gilmore have
organized to honor the original Earthquakes - the ones that never won anything. THAT part is well
worth listening to.
Ex-Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires spoke exclusively to setanta.com about Emmanuel Adebayor's
future with the Gunners, saying the North London should keep the African as he brings a lot to the
side.
The Frenchman said:
He has compared Milan to Beyonce? Has he [laughs]? As far as I am concerned, I think that he is
a talented player with interesting characteristics, and the fact that Milan are after him shows how
good he is.
Transfer rumours during the week said Andrei Arshavin may be involved in a shock return to his
old club Zenit St Petersburg, but the player told Sport Express how there is nothing true in the
rumours.
He said:
I do not consider it necessary to comment on [the rumours]. It is just not a topic for
conversation.
Sorry about the delay. Work is very busy right now and will be the rest of the month so don't be
surprised to see other delays.
The Rapids came into Sandy short-handed, got more short-handed throughout the game, and still
managed to walk out with a point and int eh driver's seat of the Rocky Mountain Cup.
Graham Westley has told former Oxford right back Eddie Odhiambo formerly known as Anaclet, that
he is free to leave Broadhall Way if an offer comes in. Odhiambo joined Boro on a free transfer
last year from Blue Square rivals Oxford, but struggled to hold down a regular place in the first
team.
Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger revealed everyone is "delighted" with new signing Thomas Vermaelen,
a player who can play in a number of positions at the back.
The Frenchman said:
Thomas is a great signing for Arsenal Football Club, and we are all delighted that he is joining
us.
In news that surprises nobody, the Rapids officially announced the signing of French defender
Julian Baudet today. He fills the roster spot created when Gregory Richardson was waived last week.
Richardson wasn't getting any playing time and reportedly had some attitude issues, so this has to
be seen as an upgrade.
It is understood that Franck Ribery's attitude has been lacklustred since returning for pre-season,
and more so after his chin-buddy, Karim Benzema signed for Real Madrid. Seems the sulking has
worked as Bayern Munich finally put a price tag on Ribery's head after club captain, Mark van
Bommel asked for speedy resolution to the transfer [.
Someone better hold this man back!
After the AC Milan game, Clarence Seedorf (actually rather calmly) of AC Milan said that he "didn't
like this type of attitude" by the fans toward David Beckham. He also said that the US is improving
as can be seen by the Confederations Cup. He also brushed off questions about Shevchenko and the
need for strikers at AC Milan.
Alan Smith's comments today and his absolute first rate attitude and dedication to Newcastle should
ensure his captaincy for the start of the season. Alan Smith-Has what it takes Alan Smith impressed
me yesterday with his comments about the team and their attitudes for the season. His words
yesterday reminded of a border collie corralling a [.
Morning all. I'll be the first to admit I haven't been posting nearly enough this Summer, but I've
been reinvigorated by the upcoming start of the season and so I'm back and I wanted to give my
thoughts on everything that has happened in the past week or so while I've been in New
Hampshire.
So first off we had the Kolo Toure transfer to Manchester City.
Former Academy defender Joe Kennedy is preparing for a new life away from football.
The 18-year-old was released by the Reds during the summer but is now celebrating after being
accepted on to a sports science degree course at John Moores University.
Academy Education and welfare officer Phil Roscoe said: "Joe is an individual who has demonstrated
a committed and focused attitude towards not only his football but his education whilst he has been
at Liverpool Football Club.
Time to get the ball rolling!
Bolton defender Jlloyd Samuel could make his first league start of the season, having
been preferred to Paul Robinson for Tuesday's League Cup win.
Andy O'Brien has recovered from a groin strain and is also in contention.
Greek defender Sotiros Kyrgiakos is on standby to make his Liverpool debut as centre back Martin
Skrtel is still troubled by a jaw injury.
Brian Clough's managerial career has been well documented, but it often completely overshadows
the success Clough had as a player. Whilst he was often accused of nepotism towards his son Nigel
whilst he was the manager of Nottingham Forest, it wasn't hard to see where the younger player got
his footballing talent from.
