The snood epidemic has gotten more billing than any foreign export in the Premier League since,
well, the last one. But it will have no place at Manchester United, where Sir Alex Ferguson has
laid down the law and firmly declared Old Trafford a snood-less football club. Because "real men
don't wear things like that".
Editor's note: PSP is running season reviews for each Philadelphia Union player. You can
read all the reviews here.
Roger Torrez, whiz kid, everybody's favorite.
OK, so maybe not, but the kid can play, and he sure is fun to watch when he's on his game. The
19-year-old Colombian showed up in Chester, threw around some sick passes, dribbled in and out and
back into all sorts of trouble, and generally caused all sorts of on-field mischief.
FOur Portuguese Clubs were included in the Europa League drawing last week and this is what we
are looking at:
Porto has had the unluckiest draw of them all as they must overcome Sevilla FC to stay in the
competition. Sevilla have strong attackers in Fabiano and Negredo, and I [read more]
Unbelievably, it may not be the primary duty of the so-called "target man" to actually score goals.
I'm sure there are those of you who may be a little surprised to read that, but it really makes
sense.
There were a couple of examples of USA coach Bob Bradley's shocking naivete from this last
summer (the type of un-insight-fulness which would lead someone like me to not renew his contract
for another four years) and one of them was that he seemed to still think he needed two strikers,

men's national semi final. Louisville edged out the Tar heels 2-1 in a last second finish with a
clinical dribble and pass to open up North Carolina's defence.
I want to write about how hard it is for defenders to handle an attacker who can dribble at the
center of a defense at pace.

I was thrilled with Roma's result this week a 1-0 win over table leading Milan. The victory put
Schizophrenic AS Roma within 7 points of first place and only 4 points out second. But lets talk
about Marco Borriello's goal. It's success has allot to do with his ability to finish but really
its all about the pass and the decision to make the pass while Milans defenders were running toward
their own goal.

In his post match comments after the defeat-like draw against Wigan Arsene talked about the lack
of communication at the back.
We need to communicate much better. That's something we need to rectify.
Nobody is taking charge on the organisation side, there is no voice when the focus drops a
little bit.
