The revised fixture list for gameweek 22 has been posted to the Fantasy Premier League website, and
there are double gameweeks a plenty. Liverpool, Tottenham, Bolton and Arsenal have now joined
Manchester United and Hull City with two games in this round. Potentially this could be the biggest
points round of the season.
Gameweek 22 sees a double gameweek for Manchester United and Hull as their match was moved due to
Cup commitments. That means this weeks fixtures are, on paper, a dream for Manchester United: home
to both Burnley and Hull.
Whilst on first glance it may appear to be worth loading up on Man Utd players, be wary of getting
caught short for the following gameweek.
I'm getting a lot of questions about the offside trap lately, so I thought I'd write a primer.
It has to be useful to someone, right?
The Offside Rule
The offside rule attempts to prevent soccer from descending into a game of long punts towards
crowds of players milling bout the goal, as is essentially equivalent to American Football's strict
rules on the forward pass.

On a rare chilly morning in Carson, California. the members of the United States Men's National
team endured their longest training session to date. As the camp enters its second week, it is
clear that the intensity level has been raised in preparation for the January 23rd friendly against
Honduras at the Home Depot Center.
The defensive midfielder – Introduction and the ‘classic' defensive midfielder.
The holding role is regarded as a key position in modern football and has been employed by many
of the top teams in the past ten years. You've probably know a few of them – Manchester United,
Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona, Valencia, Liverpool, Real Madrid and A.
TORONTO - Once again, our reporters are in the middle of the action, capturing all there is to
report on from the January transfer market.
This time, however, the aquisition is non other than former PFC Defender John 'Shaky' Shipley.
Shakes joined PFC back in 2007 as part of the Superdraft that also brought in Steve Ward, Jason
Shumski, and Matt Dookie.
I'm sure many of you have heard of Megabus, the bus company that offers really low fares to and
from cities across the country. And if you've heard of Megabus, you've probably heard that they
offer free wi-fi on all of their buses. Well I'm currently on a Megabus (going to St. Louis for the
weekend) and there is no Internet connection.
One of the most selfish, senseless attention grabs by a separatist group in recent memory:
Gunmen have fired on a bus carrying Togo's football team to the Africa Cup of Nations
in Angola, wounding players and reportedly killing the driver. The attackers machine-gunned the
vehicle after it crossed from the Republic of Congo into Angola's oil-rich territory of
Cabinda.
Angola and Mali played out a thrilling 4-4 draw to open the Africa Cup of Nations and take some
attention away from the unnerving events of Friday's act of violence against the Togo national
football team.
Many notable figures in the world of football have called for the tournament to proceed despite
the brutal attack on the Togo team bus, which reportedly left four people dead.
On top of the strikers shortage we can only wait to see if Wenger will sign. Personally I'd
take Carlton Cole but not for £9m which is what I have read in places, I have also read links with
Huntelaar, who when I have seen him play in the past has seemed average at best. I have also heard
links with Ruud Van Horseface, I am sure this cannot go ahead, there is no way I could start to
like him, he has to (still) be one of the fans most hated players.
Another typically ‘ok, but not great' performance by the Champions saw us defeat a gutsy
Burnley side 3-0, with Berbs, Rooney and new boy Diouf finding the net on a routinely humble
afternoon at OT.
As usual, we made it difficult for ourselves, especially as the away side threatened
surprisingly well and had a few decent efforts that could have, and probably should have, punished
us for our lack of concentration.
Sometimes life (or a some semblance of it, in my case) prevents you watching every minute of
every game in the season. It sucks, but it's really difficult to follow a team through a whole
year. Thus I found myself missing the start of a game fairly early on in 2009. I think it was the
Wizards home game, but I honestly couldn't tell you.
The Fire announced this afternoon that midfielder Julio Martinez will join the club on loan from
Mexican second division side Club Leon FC. Martinez, who played for Fire head coach Carlos de los
Cobos on the El Salvadoran National Team, for which he has scored two goals in ten appearances.
Some may ask where the hell you have got yourself into. EDUARDOSALVIO, 19 year old forward from
Argentine Club LANUS, has signedwith ATLETICO DE MADRID for the next 5 years. This raises two
questions (at least for SFS)1. Doesn't Atletico need defenders & not attackers?2. Is this a sign
that Salvio will be the replacement of Sergio Aguerowho many believe will be sold next year?

The Host: Michael Parkhurst, let me be the first to say "Happy Birthday!" Wait,
your birthday was yesterday? Geez, I'm so sorry. Well, we managed to get everyone together here at
our local Chili's, so we might as well (1) honor the soccer feats you have accomplished in the
last 26 years, and (2) "pepper in some flavor.
Premier League Team News - Barclays Premier League - ESPN SoccernetThe really big fantasy news is
that Drogba and Kalou apparently won't be considered for action until the trip to Hull on Tuesday.
This makes Lamps, FloMal, and Elk the most attractive attackers for Chelsea (depending on what
price you have them at).
