Manchester United's fixtures are approaching a golden period of unprecidented easiness. Over the
next 9 weeks, the toughest fixture may well be Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
West Ham v Man Utd
Man Utd v Aston Villa
Man Utd v Wolverhampton
Fulham v Man Utd
Hull v Man Utd
Man Utd v Wigan
Birmingham v Man Utd
Man Utd v Burnley
Man Utd v Hull
A fixture list like this makes Manchester United players definately worth having.
Both Stoke and Fulham have a double header on Gameweek 20, after missing out on Gameweek 17.
Arsenal and Bolton are the other teams that gameweek who benefit from the revised fixture list.
The tricky part for a lot of players is that by now many have shaped their teams into something
close to what they would like, making the dilemma not so much about who they should transfer in,
rather who they will transfer out.
Manchester United have a fantastic run of fixtures until the end of January, as we have mentioned
before. So it would be no surprise to learn that 9% of teams have persisted with John O'Shea in
their teams defence, despite him not playing in the last 3 weeks. However word from Old Trafford
today is that both O'Shea and Jonny Evans will be out until the New Year.
Stuart Holden ... a big and brilliant spring could seriously elevate his United States national
team standing

I remember watching Cobi Jones dismantle MLS defenses early in the 1998 season.
Landon Donovan. The best U.S. field player wouldn't be much to shout about if some fans had
their way.

Here's a little something for everyone to ponder as they consider the latest news on Landon
Donovan.
Ivan Klasnic is a man in form. In the last four matches he has scored 4 goals for Bolton, and
accrued 4 bonus points. Admittedly these results have come against some middling teams - Fulham,
Wolves, Manchester City and West Ham, but his forthcoming fixtures look equally useful: Wigan,
Burnley, Hull and Arsenal in his gameweek 20 double fixture, then Sunderland on the 9th of January.
For years, the British press has maligned Emile Heskey. Yet for the duration of the decade,
English managers have found reason to call him into the national side. Even in his club career, he
has been maligned during several Premier League stops, beginning with Leicester City in the late
1990s through today with Aston Villa.
Nothing really to do with football other han perhaps a way the media love to use the concept of
football hooilgans as mordern day boogie men to sell stories.
Some lads were yesterday playing football in a field by their village when some kids turned up and
started throwing rocks at them. The footballers responded and an all out brawl ensued that spilled
on to the nearby Jakarta - Merak toll road causing lengthy tailbacks for the good citizens in their
cars.
Once again the rotten month of November has troubled us (I shouldn't be saying this about the
month of my birth but you can't argue with facts!) We have lost momentum and I don't think anyone
who loves the Arsenal is feeling very positive these days.
The buying brigade is baying for blood, fresh blood.
North Korea's inclusion in the Group of Death in South Africa is excellent news for those of us
supporting the DPRK at the Finals. Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast are all advocates and
practitioners of the era's attacking football philosophy. Watch them come unstuck.
In 1966, in North Korea's last appearance at the Finals, the prevailing world soccer philosophy
was defensive.
Whether you're a fan of dangerous attacking teams, or simply want to catch a glimpse of some
future MLS standouts, this weekend's NCAA College Cup in Cary, North Carolina has something for
you.
All four teams boast quality rosters so there isn't much talk about underdogs and Cinderella
stories.

Stay back, I'm angry. First Stoke, now bloody Wolves. If we go down 1-0 at home to a team we should
be hammering one more time this season, I'm emigrating. Somewhere hot with no football. Like the
Caribbean. I'll just watch cricket all day and get sozzled on Rum Punch. It's far less depressing
than this Tottenham lark.
In regards to United's relative woes, Alex Ferguson would like everyone to throw up their hands and
blame the extensive injuries to his back-line, just like he does.
But perhaps the most bemusing aspect of United's current descent is the Scotsman's bewildering
usage of his most expensive player, striker Dimitar Berbatov.
