Clearly, every game is a very tough one for Arsenal on current form. Will the team get its first League win of 2012? Doesn't seem like it if we look at the manner in which Arsenal have dropped points in recent games, or the way Blackburn came from behind to win at home earlier this season, or the fact that Steve Kean is yet to lose against Wenger or Ferguson in the Premiership (2W, 2D)!

I remember reading about Liverpool's issues in front of goal a while ago. This article on the BBC Football site has some key details, and The Times ran a chart in yesterday's edition talking about the same thing (behind a paywall, sadly).

The point of all this is that Liverpool are having a terrible time converting their shots to goals, and at that point were only scoring with 10% of their shots.

1. You don't forget days like this in a hurry. United could beat any side 8-2 and I'd be buzzing but to beat Arsenal? Beautiful football playing Arsenal? Wow. I'd love a result like this over Liverpool or City, obviously, but after our proper rivals, getting to absolutely thrash Arsenal is as good as it gets.

Starting off, a half-hearted nod of the head to Man United and an outstretched hand from me in spite of obvious danger to my personal hygiene. Winners of any football competition deserve the victory in the end, the League more so than most, and United were the least bad team this season. The Sun is shining on Fergie and the perch, he should retire now and take over Wrigley's while the going is good.

Finally some good news on the injury front for Arsenal fans as both Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie are in the Arsenal squad for tomorrow's game against Barcelona.

Van Perise is the big surprise. After getting injured in the Carling Cup final, it was feared that RVP would be out for up to six weeks, but it appears he has responded well to treatment and Arsene Wenger has included him in his 19-man squad.

Divide the pitch into three equal zones: offensive, defensive, and midfield. Divide each zone into a further six sectors, three across the pitch and two deep. Zone one is the left back sat in defence, and counting right and up the pitch zone eighteen contains the opponent's corner flag as attacked down the right wing.
