The Development ACademy Winter Showcase is officially underway here in Phoenix! This weekend will
feature more than 4,000 players representing 156 Development Academy teams spread across the 18
fields at the Reach 11 Sports Complex.
Some key notes for this weekend:
-The head coaches of all five men's youth national teams are all together in one place: Thomas
Rongen (U-20), Mike Matkovich (U-18), Wilmer Cabrera (U-17), Jim Barlow (U-15) and Manny
Schellscheidt (U-14).

Twellman on Twellman...
We finally got a chance to catch up with New England Revolution great Taylor Twellman. The most,
not perhaps, but the most prolific MLS striker of the decade sorry Jeff Cunningham.
For the youngsters who, sadly, may not have gotten to watch Twellman play many games, there was
no other striker that went after the ball in the air or drove the ball to the hole, so to speak,
more aggressively than the Minnesota native.
