According to Rob Parrish at Sky Sports News, Manchester United have agreed to
terms with Aston Villa youngster Ashley Young. It is reported
that Young will complete his move to United when he returns from holiday.
According to Tottenham's official website, Tottenham have agreed to a deal with
former Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel. Manager Harry
Redknapp said,
"Brad is a top goalkeeper of real quality who has great experience.
According to James Pearce at the Liverpool Echo, Aston Villa winger
Stewart Downing has decided not to commit to a new deal with the club right now,
putting Liverpool on alert. Downing said,
"I know the club are keen for me to extend my contract as I only have two years left on my deal
and that my agent had a recent meeting with our chief executive (Paul Faulkner).

make a few signings this summer in the hope of convincing 25-year-old midfielder Ashley
