Two gameweeks have passed in the Fantasy Premier League and now we know a little bit more about the
strenghts and weaknesses of all teams and players.
Last weeks tips were a great success as Arsenal beat Blackpool 6-0 and Chelsea Wigan with the same
numbers. Arsenal's Walcott scored a hattrick and collected amazing 21 points, not bad for a player
with a pricetag of £7.
Aston Villa are in a great run of defensive form at the moment, having kept 5 clean sheets in the
last 6 games. One of the main beneficiaries of this has been Cuellar, who has played practically
every minute of every game. He also popped up with a header goal to help Villa draw with Manchester
United this week.

Wycombe's Jon-Paul Pittman, who was born in the United States, shocked Premier League champions
Chelsea with a second half hat-trick in a span of four minutes. Pittman, a former Aston Villa youth
player, only joined the League 2 minnows in February last year and his performance against the
Blues on Thursday night underlines his ability in front of the goal.
No official word yet, but talkSPORT is reporting that Bob Bradley has resigned from his post as
manager of the USMNT.
Bradley is then expected to be named manager at Aston Villa next week. If so, he'll be the first
American manager in the Premier League.

If you wanted any more proof that the world's most successful sports people tend to be
competitive assholes who hate to lose at anything, then Theo Walcott provided it this week.
New York Red Bulls sporting director Erik Soler has made it known that his team will not be using
their second Designated Player slot until after the World Cup comes to an end. His declaration has
added further fuel to rumors that the club will attempt to land French international Thierry Henry
at some point during the upcoming MLS season instead of waiting until his contract with Barcelona
expires in the summer of 2011.
Bob Bradley rumors to Aston Villa continue to swirl, and as Michelle Kaufman of the Miami Herald
writes, Bradley's rise to coaching prominence only adds more credence to the fact that American
coaches (as well as American soccer) has come a long way.
Is a U.S.-born coach ready to take on an English Premier League club?
Gameweek 22 sees a double gameweek for Manchester United and Hull as their match was moved due to
Cup commitments. That means this weeks fixtures are, on paper, a dream for Manchester United: home
to both Burnley and Hull.
Whilst on first glance it may appear to be worth loading up on Man Utd players, be wary of getting
caught short for the following gameweek.
Aston Villa forward Marlon Harewood has been offered a contract by D.C. United, according to a
report by MirrorFootball. The out-of-contract player has also received a firm offer from Turkish
champions Bursaspor, with several teams in the English Championship also showing interest in
acquiring his services.
The 2010 World Cup is heading into the knockout stages, and just as the action in South Africa
is getting ready to really heat up, so are things on the transfer front.
Manchester United had a relatively quiet summer last year, but it doesn't look like that will be
the case this summer, as United look set to strengthen their squad in multiple areas.
The current coach of the United States Men's National Team Bob Bradley has left
his position and could be revealed as Aston Villa's manager as early as next week,
according to talkSPORT. Bradley would be the first American to manage in England's top-flight.

£50 million dump. Here's the round up...
Rumour No. 1: Manchester City are preparing to jettison £50 million worth of
players in the summer as manager Roberto Mancini begins a total rebuild of his squad.
Emmanuel Adebayor, Wayne Bridge, Shaun
Wright-Phillips and Stephen Ireland will all face the boot at Eastlands,
and the Italian boss is planning to kick start his overhaul with a £50 million bid for Liverpool
striker Fernando Torres.
Yesterday I picked my mom up from MIA and boy did she have a great story to tell me. She had flown
on the same plane as the Ecuadorian National team which was headed to New York where they will play
at a sold out new Meadowlands Stadium on Friday versus Mexico.
My mom is so cool she had a few of the players sign autographs for me and she took pictures with
them too.
Landon Donovan's return to Everton is looking less and less likely. After a successful loan
spell this past winter, followed by an impressive World Cup, myself and probably yourself had
assumed Donovan was destined for permanent Toffee-dom in January 2011.
A new decade, a new year, and 10 players I'll be keeping a watchful eye on for one reason or
another in 2010. We all know Drogba, Rooney, Torres, Defoe and the lot will get their 20+ goals and
single handily place their teammates on their shoulders and march onwards. But what about the role
players that could make or break their clubs championship winning run, help their club break into
the top 4, or save their club from relegation and a year in the Championship?

Arsenal is crouched in the shadows just waiting to pounce...
... and is 4 points out of the top of the Premier League table and they've officially made it
look like a 3-team race. Earlier it had seemed that Tottenham or Aston Villa would make mighty
challengers for Chelsea and ManU but now it is evident that Arsenal intends to stand its ground and
not budge out of the Top 3 in order to give last year's finalists a run for their money.
The January 2010 transfer window is now closed in England. It was a much quieter window than in
January of 2009, when Premier League teams spent a record £178 MILLION in that transfer window. We
will continually update this as the last transfers get processed by the Premier League.
Updated Feb 1st.
Disclaimer: I love Brad Friedel. He's a superb American goalkeeper who's already a World Cup hero.
Friedel is having a great year as always. He's in his second year with Aston Villa (great fortune

This weekend will be a turning point for the English Premier League in the United States. For
the first time in history, all ten Premier League matches will be available live to U.S.

of the ten matches each weekend.
Big TV weeks for Manchester City in the EPL and Kansas City in the MLS. First, ManCity has it all
to play for as they push for the 4th UEFA Champions League position and take on their top two
contenders - Aston Villa on Saturday and Tottenham on Wednesday. In the MLS, Kansas City has gotten
off to a great start and looking to prove they are a true contender this year.

Is Fergie Playing Coy On Sneijder?
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says that there hasn't
been a bid for Dutch star Wesley Sneijder and that he doesn't need him, as his
current squad is stronger than last season's squad.
United States coach Bob Bradley was interviewed this weekend on BBC's Sportsweek radio program
where he reconfirmed that he is still interested in the vacant Aston Villa manager position. No new
news there except for the respect he has for the way that Aston Villa is managing the recruitment
process in light of Kevin MacDonald temporarily taking charge of the team.

You've got to feel for David Moyes and the never ending injury situation at Goodison Park. Since
they finished fourth in 2005, it seems every season starts in December due to the injury affliction

for bad luck or injuries.

Butterflies, nerves, tension.
These are usual emotions for a player representing his country for the first time. For Eric
Lichaj's first cap with the United States in the U.S. team's 0-0 draw with Colombia on Tuesday
night at PPL Park, these were just words.
Before the Christmas football period, Fernando Torres stood on the cusp of greatness. Scoring 49
goals in 69 games meant that he was on the verge of becoming the fastest Liverpool player ever to
reach 50 goals in the least number of games. Though it did not come against Portsmouth or Wolves,
it finally came against top four hopeful, Aston Villa.
