These players are not worthy of wearing the shirts of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester

Why this guy was ever purchased is a mystery as complex and pointless as The Da Vinci Code.
Seasons are coming to a close around Europe, and while many big names will make moves in the
upcoming summer transfer window, we're also going to see a few notable managers change clubs in the
near future. With that in mind, today's transfer news and rumors roundup has a little managerial
news from around Europe mixed in with the regular player transfer gossip.
Okay, can somebody just beat Barcelona please? We're tired of putting them at the top of this list
every week. Though frankly even if they do lose again this season, it will likely not be enough to
remove them from the top spot. But at least you're left to wonder about places 2-25, right?

There's no new Kaka news to report on, and there shouldn't be for another
couple of days, but that doesn't mean that there's nothing else going on in the world of
transfers.
Who's in the transfer news headlines today? As always, the lion's share of the tidbits are from
England, but we've also got news and rumors to report on from Spain, Italy, Germany, and
Greece.
Usually I'm not one to look forward to Monday, but the start of a new week during transfer season
usually means that there's plenty to talk about. Jermain Defoe has dominated the roundups recently,
but now that he's finally being sold (you can guess where), we'll have to find a new flavor of the
[.
Every year Premiership managers conspire to spend millions of pounds on exotic sounding foreign
players whose names have never graced the screens of an English TV. Last year it was Marouane
Fellaini, a £15 million signing for Everton. And what's more, his tough tackling, willingness to
play ludicrously out of position, and even more ludicrous haircut have made the Premiership a
better place over the last twelve months.
Simply unacceptable.
Sometimes I would like to crawl into Rafa's head and find out what he is thinking, and last
night that urge magnified itself a million fold as our boss made a stream of tactical errors that
really confused me, and seemingly every other Liverpool fan.
Forget the fact we could/should have scored at least five goals and concentrate on the fact that
the substitutions that were made were both poorly timed and ineffective.
Ever wondered who is the fastest player in the top tier, well wonder no more!
THEO WALCOTT is the Premier League's answer to sprint superstar Usain Bolt.
Manchester United fan Bolt hit a top speed of 24.04mph as he won two golds at the World
Championships in Berlin.
Well how's that for starting July with a bang? The start of a new month and the official first
day of the summer transfer window brought another big-money signing for Real Madrid.
Real have been the biggest spenders by far this summer, and they'll likely come out on top in
that list when all's said and done, but they aren't the only club out there spending big or trying
to spend big.
Arsene will be focusing on rebuilding his central defence this summer. This rebuilding has
started with the acquisition of Thomas Vermaelen, but it will not and cannot end here.
Of the central defenders on our books from last season, four of them have contract that expire
next summer.
The transfer rumours are coming thick and fast - Chelsea and Manchester City have money to spend,
but Liverpool have been rocked by yet another story about the perilous state of their finances and
need to sell before they can buy anyone.
Former Premier League man may make welcome return this summer.
The Rumour
ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger is in talks with Stuttgart midfielder
.
The Gunners manager wants to add experience to his side and the former Aston Villa star fits the
bill.
Hitzlsperger, 27, is out of contract next year but Stuttgart will do a deal at around
£5million.
The biggest news in the football world is still the impending sale of Manchester United
superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid for a world-record £80m.
However, in this morning's transfer roundup, you won't find any Ronaldo-related news, though
there is a mention of someone that Manchester United could go after with the money they're set to
soon receive from Real.
Is it safe to say that striker receives more time in the transfer gossip pages from January to
December than any other position? Several well-known strikers are in today's transfer news and
rumors, but the goal-getters aren't the only men in the summer shop window. In today's roundup,
we've got tidbits from several of Europe's top leagues, with several big names being linked with
big clubs.
A selection of talent from Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton,

A player who only seems to get his chance when someone is out injured or badly off form.
Just as quickly as the week started, Wednesday's already here, and there's plenty of transfer news
and rumors to report on, including the latest on Andrei Arshavin's potential move to Arsenal.

You knew it was only a matter of time before it would happen, even with the world's current
economical state. Real Madrid have broken the world transfer record that they already held by
landing Kaka from AC Milan for £59m.
That signing looks to be only the start of Real's monster summer spending spree, and if they can
land one of their prime targets (you should already know who I'm talking about without me having to
mention him by name), we could see the above record broken once again before the end of the
summer.
Federico Macheda's stunning introduction to Premier League football, with a late winner for
Manchester United against Aston Villa, is the latest in a long list of dream debuts.
Here is Telegraph Sport's top 10.

The transfer news isn't as plentiful today as it has been in the last several days, but there
are still some big names in the gossip pages today.
Manchester United are busy looking for a new striker, and while Karim Benzema
may or may not be on his way to Old Trafford sometime this summer, there's no shortage of targets
on United's striker wishlist, including one potentially surprising name.
We've got a couple of new signings to add to our lists of confirmed summer transfers this
morning, and those new additions could soon be followed by a few more, according to the latest

Chelsea To Land Sturridge
Chelsea are set to sign young Manchester City striker Daniel Sturridge.
The U.S. are playing Costa Rica in an important World Cup qualifying match this Wednesday night at
10:00 PM EST and it will be broadcast on ESPN. I decided to take a look at the squad that manager
Bob Bradley has named and review where they are at in their careers. I think its important to
examine this as the U.
We're only a week into the January transfer window, and the way that figures are being thrown about
for some players, you'd think that we were in the summer window. I'm not picking on Manchester City
by any means, because they're not the only club that looks likely to splash the cash this month, [.

Aston Villa's new away kit
Verdict: Very stripey, quite classy, reminiscent of an Eighties England kit. Gareth Barry
may or may not be wearing it in 09/10 though. Another pic below:
Villa's English connection: Messrs Milner, Young and Agbonlahor. Nice pic.
Aberdeen's new home kit
Verdict: Stripes are the new black, clearly.
We're already in the middle of June, and though the signings haven't been coming hard and fast
just yet, that doesn't mean that there's a shortage of action thus far in the summer transfer
window.
In this morning's transfer news and rumors roundup, we've got tidbits from England, Spain,
Italy, Germany, France, and Greece, with many big names and big clubs looking to spend, spend,

We're already halfway through the January transfer window, and while there has been more

expect, we have the latest on Manchester City's attempts to sign Kaka, but he's not the only player
they're after, and there [.

Much of the focus in the football world today is on the massive UEFA Champions League final
showdown between Manchester United and Barcelona (which you can follow live on SL), and rightfully
so. And in case you haven't seen it yet, check out Soccerlens' exclusive interview
with Lionel Messi (yes, the one and only).
In the absence of any meaningful football this summer (excluding a nod to the U21s) we'll focus
on the endless transfer sagas in the Premiership and beyond (don't forget Simon Cox). So far Garry
Barry has defected, without European football, to Man City - and Madrid have splashed out on
Kaka.
Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers, winners of Super Bowl XLIII in "that other
football"--the one played in the U.S., which curiously does not involve feet striking balls
very often. But that's not why we're here. There was a lot of action in association football
(soccer here in the U.S.) that affected the top 25 ranking of best soccer clubs in the world.
After a pretty active start to the week, the transfer news and rumors have subsided quite a bit
over the last couple of days.

The Beauty: Melina Pitra like many of the WAGs we have profiled here @ STO is
from Argentina. While she is not actually one of the top Argentine WAGs (or even one of the
hottest), she is on this list for one simple reason. The player she shagged has the most
appropriate name ever at least judging by the picture at left.
With the focus on football today, it's a relatively slow day in transfer news and rumors, but I've

City next week.
