Barcelona beat Real Madrid in Spain's Supercup on Wednesday, 3-2, with a 5-4 aggregate. Real Madrid
Coach Jose Mourinho showed him self to be a bit of soar loser when he pinched the ear/neck of
Barcelona Assistant Coach Villanova:
Here's bonus video from today's match, Messi's brace, gotta love Ray Hudson's reaction:
I was bit sad for Mourinho yesterday, despite I was very happy that Barcelona won the Super Cup.
Mourinho, after a great summer of preparations, tactics, great players, and a lot of team work,
seemed to be left helpless again against Barcelona and the 'unfit' Messi.
The camera caught Mourinho with very good attitudes and sportsmanship, showing to the public how
stinky Messi is, and then, twisting the ear of the Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova : )
After the game Mourinho was not upset of his players red cards:
"What happened, happened because somebody provoked the situation and it certainly wasn't a player
from Real Madrid"

Y0u can watch a live stream of today's Expansion Draft the French Canadian way from 3pm on the
Montreal Impact website. (It's supposed to be on the MLS site too but, as of this writing, they
haven't put the link up yet.)
Montreal Impact head coach Jesse Marsch is among those who noticed Freddy Adu was left
unprotected by the Philadelphia Union ahead of today's Expansion Draft.
According to multiple reports, former New England Revolution assistant coach Paul Mariner will

*Neither the Galaxy nor MLS have responded to a report Sunday that had leading scorer Edson
Buddle rather embarrassingly snubbing a new contract with MLS for a struggling second-tier German
outfit.
It's hard to blame Buddle, who turns 30 in May, for wanting to make some serious coin if reports
of his likely paycheck are accurate.
Released only two weeks ago by the Philadelphia Union, forward Chris Agorsor is on trial with
Real Salt Lake. The former University of Virginia player was spotted with two other trialists at
today's Salt Lake practice, as reported by Michael C. Lewis of The Salt Lake Tribune on
Twitter.
The 21-year-old Agorsor joins Haitian midfielder Sony Norde and Bulgarian full back Samir
Bengelloun.

Goal.
By Pieter Brown - Today was a nice day for soccer. So I drove down to Ft. Lauderdale baseball
stadium to take in the Strikers Open Tryouts. Players from all over the world showed up to impress
the coaches. One of the coaches they were trying to impress was none other than former Miami Fusion
captain Jim Rooney.
Tempers flared at the end of the Spurs versus AC Milan Champions League clash
on Tuesday night.
AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattusa could not be contained and actually
headbutted Spurs assistant coach Joe Jordan something he is sure to receive a suspension for.
UEFA has opened a disciplinary investigation against AC Milan captain Gennaro Gattuso after he
head-butted a Tottenham assistant coach at the end of a heated Champions League match.
UEFA's disciplinary panel will hear the case against Gattuso and Milan, which is responsible for
its players' behavior, next Monday.
WASHINGTON — D.C. United assistant coach Pat Onstad is coming out of retirement because the club

oldest player in MLS when [.

On a day when Toronto FC is set to take on their Canadian rivals, the Vancouver Whitecaps. The

Portland Timbers
Conference: West Position: 8th
W-L-D: 0-1-0 (0 points, -2 goal differential)
Away Form: 0-1-0 (-2 goal differential)
Recent Form: L
Last Meeting: N/A
It's the 2011 home opener for Toronto FC and who do we face but another expansion team.
I hope everyone is dried out from the storms drenching Qwest field this weekend. The 1-1 tie
against the Portland Timbers was a bit of a let-down for sure, but it was a decent result
considering the huge hit injuries have had on the Seattle Sounders. One thing that certainly wasn't
a let down was the massive tifo put together by the ECS for the match.
Carlos de los Cobos is no longer the Chicago Fire head coach. Frank Klopas takes over in the
interim. Who will be the next full-time head coach to roam the sidelines at Toyota Park? Thoughts
and a head coach poll are after the break.
Eric Wynalda
Pros: Eric Wynalda's started out playing in the wilderness that was American soccer
between the North American Soccer League ending in 1984 and Major League Soccer starting in
1996.
UW-Parkside didn't need to look far to find the successor to legendary men's soccer coach
Rich Kilps.
Jason Zitzke (right), who has been in the Rangers' program for the past 16
years as a player or assistant coach, was promoted to replace his mentor.
Kilps retired last month after compiling a 363-135-40 record in 27 years at Parkside.
It is almost never a mistake for a team to fire a coach. It's like a relationship - once it gets to
the point where you're seriously asking whether you should break up, you should probably break
up.
The mistake almost always ends up being the choice of replacement. In many cases, the choice could
end up being so poor that it calls into question the original decision to can the previous coach.
SINGAPORE, 07 JUNE 2011: The FAS Disciplinary Committee will adjourn to Thursday, 16 June
2011 at 7.00pm (Jalan Besar Stadium conference room) with regards to the incident at the Great
Eastern – YEO'S S.League match between Hougang United and Etoile FC at the Hougang Stadium on 23
May 2011.
If the Kitsap Pumas beat the Real Colorado Foxes in tonight's U.S. Open Cup second in Bremerton,
they would play the Seattle Sounders at Starfire on June 28. As you may have noticed, the Sounders
play the New England Revolution on June 26. You don't have to be a math wiz to see that the
Sounders would have to play that match on just one day's rest.
On Thursday, May 26th, FC Tampa Bay announced the release of veteran midfielder Tony McManus.
The statement was brief with a short quote from team president Andrew Nestor. "We believe this is
the best decision for our club moving forward. We wish Tony the best of luck in the future.
Team USA – This Is Now
This is the 3rd article in a series of three to preview the 2011 Women's World Cup in
Germany which begins on June 26 when host and 2-time defending World Cup champion Germany kicks off
against CONCACAF Champion Canada in Berlin.
Two years ago, Jesse Marsch was still a starter in Major League Soccer, 14
years after his professional soccer career started along with the league.
Last year, the Racine native was an assistant coach at the World Cup. Next year, he will be a
head coach in MLS.
The Montreal Impact on Wednesday named Marsch the coach for their MLS franchise, which will be
the league's 19th team when it takes the field next spring.
Barcelona stars Gerard Pique and Xavi aren't hiding their feelings when it comes to Real Madrid
and its coach Jose Mourinho.
In the aftermath of Wednesday's SuperCopa second leg, Mourinho took a lot of heat from Barcelona
players for his tactics and actions during a melee following a harsh challenge by Madrid fullback
Marcelo.
Apparently, Kofi Sarkodie and Will Bruin are not the only members of the Houston Dynamo across
the pond these days. Take a close look at that picture yesterday from Celtic's 1-0 win over Hearts
of Midlothian at Celtic Park. Reeeaalllll....Clooooosseeee.
See it? No? Well, then, check out this link right here.
Coach Kiley Cirillo, Indianapolis Greyhounds
INDIANAPOLIS- Former Greyhound assistant coach Kiley Cirillo has been named the fifth head coach in
UIndy women's soccer history, effective Jan. 1, 2011. Cirillo, an assistant under former head coach

Winter in Toronto has never seemed so good
Mainstream media reports are flying out of The Netherlands this morning
that former Dutch International star and ex-Lazio, Inter and Ajax legend Aron Winter has been named
as Technical Director of Toronto FC. There is yet to be any official announcement from the club
itself but Winter has been quoted extensively including the following excerpts (poorly translated
into English) in the major Dutch news paper De Telegraaf:

director.

With the Major League Soccer Combine and SuperDraft just days away and the start of the 2011
preseason following shortly, it appears as if another team has filled its coaching vacancy.
As first reported by ESPN Deportes, Chivas USA will hire Real Salt Lake assistant coach Robin
Fraser to be its next head coach.
Well, 3 out of 4 ain't bad!
When MLSE VP Tom Anselmi opened today's important press conference with an admission that the
club had been "going in the wrong direction" it was hard not to point the finger squarely at the
man himself. For four years under Anselmi and MLSE's direction, TFC was allowed to flounder, mostly
at the hands of Mo Johnston, and on this site as in many other places, the ownership was rightfully
criticized.
It's official now. MLSE and TFC held a press conference today to confirm that Aron Winter, Paul
Mariner, and Bob de Klerk will be joining Toronto FC. In a nutshell, here is what our staff will
look like for the new season:
Aron Winter Head Coach & Technical Director
Paul Mariner Director of Player Development
Bob de Klerk - First Assistant Coach
Earl Cochrane - Director of Team and Player Operations
Stu Neely Head of Academy
Nick Dasovic,
Jim Brennan, and
Danny Dichio will
all remain a part of the organization; official roles yet to be named
Basically, Winter is our main man.
There are a couple of good stories on the Chicago Fire, Section 8, and everything Chicago soccer
that should not be missed. Let's start with Guillermo Rivera of Fire Confidential with some quotes
from Frank Klopas. On the players taking part in the MLS SuperDraft Combine right now, Klopas had
this to say:
These players have been off for a few months so it's tough to judge guys on these games, we've
seen most of them before now so we're looking for the best fit based on who's available when we
pick.
Rumour is the Matildas will have just two friendlies at this stage, in May prior to the World
Cup.
Surely they'll have more?
And the new Matildas Assistant Coach - Spencer Prior, former Norwich City, recent Fox Sports and
Australian arrival and recent completion of all his Coaching Badges.
