Two teenage boys were taken to hospital, suffering from head and facial injuries, following an
assault in Chalkwell Park on Friday night (7 May).
The incident happened around 10pm near to the toilets on the London Road side of the park.
Police say the boys - aged 16 and 17, from Westcliff and Benfleet - were assaulted by two teenage
boys and a girl.

Detectives have charged a 16-year-old boy in relation to an assault outside Southend's South Essex
College in Luker Road.
The incident happened on 8th February in the space between the entrance to the college and the
University of Essex. A 17 year old boy from Southend was allegedly punched in the face following an
altercation.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a young woman was assaulted in Westcliff.
The 19-year-old local woman was walking home along London Road and it is thought she was attacked
when she turned into an alleyway leading to Burdett Avenue.
She was grabbed by a man, and when she tried to fight back, she was punched twice in the face.
