Tough on Coventry, who led through Leon Best's wonder goal, but were pegged back, first through a Stephen Wright own goal in the final minute of normal time, then when Aaron Mokoena scored the winner with a fine header in the dying seconds of extra time.

Former Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp could be about to save his old club, and in the process land two new players for his high-flying Tottenham side. Redknapp is lining up the signings of both Pompey midfielder Younes Kaboul and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

While the signings wouldn't completely alleviate Portsmouth's financial troubles, the move would enable David James to stay at Fratton Park and also give the south coast club a much needed cash boost.
