Dirk Kuyt's imminent exit from Liverpool could be as part of a swap deal with Fiorentina for Juan
Manuel Vargas.
The Serie A club is determined to land Kuyt during the summer transfer window, but face strong
competition from Hamburg for his signature.
A clause in the Dutchman's contract means he can leave Anfield for just £1million, but Fiorentina
apparently have another idea in mind.

what a difference a year can make in football. Injuries and an unexpected relegation for his club
side Villarreal has got the rumour mills speaking in terms of around £10m for his services.
While these suggestions continue however, the player himself is likely to be out until December

M'Vila is also attracting interest from Italian giants Inter Milan and
Champions League finalists Bayern Munich.
Mexican powerhouse Monterrey took a giant step toward repeating as CONCACAF Champions League
title holders on Wednesday night after a second-half brace from Humberto Suazo gave the Rayados a
2-0 first-leg victory over Santos Laguna.
The match was a tightly contested one until the second half, when Suazo finally broke through
with a pair of goals, including a dazzling run through the Santos defense near the end of the match
to help give Monterrey a two-goal cushion heading to the second leg in Torreon next week.

James Coston's recent Hat Trick and QOTD got me back in the mood to do another one myself. After
all, my last one came in late January so it's about time. The 3 topics I picked today are all good
talking points, and 2 of the topics certainly have ramifications in terms of the Chicago Fire. As
always, the customary QOTD will appear after the break, along with the rest of the hat trick.
Speaking to Fox Sports Latin America, Carlos Tevez has today revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson is
the best manager he has played for, as well as former Argentina coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Arsenal legend Alan Smith has criticised current manager Arsene Wenger's recruitment policy,
which he believes could cost the Gunners a UEFA Champions League spot at the end of the season. The
retired striker, who has now turned to commentating, also believes that Wenger should have pursued
central defender Gary Cahill more aggressively before he was signed by their London rivals Chelsea
earlier this month.
Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak issued some very scathing remarks yesterday to
Carlos Tevez and AC Milan warning them in effect that for either party to get their way in this
messy situation, the club's standards must be met.
On a day when Tevez was fined a staggering £9.
Together with Neymar, Santos midfield wizard Paulo Henrique Ganso is another of Brazil's

Sunderland or any other club can meet their £5 million asking price. Pienaar who has not seen any

clubs seeking to strengthen their squads for the remaining half of the season, a few will be
looking to offload their most prized players.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle has dismissed suggestions that there will be any tension for him at
the Emirates Stadium this weekend when Bolton visit fellow strugglers Arsenal.
Both clubs have performed below their capabilities thus far in the season and while Arsenal
could have done much better with the services of a proven English center-back such as the Trotters'
Gary Cahill, a war of words between the two managers brought an end to the negotiations last
month.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted his admiration for Bolton center-back Gary Cahill and
has refused to play down talk of chasing the defender's signature again in January.
The Gunners were linked with Cahill's services throughout the summer but Wenger reportedly
submitted an official bid less than half of Bolton's valuation, which subsequently led to a public
bust-up with Trotters boss Owen Coyle.

seven months removed from a day which saw Chelsea secure Fernando Torres and David Luiz for a

the footballing world is once again on the cusp of meltdown.
