With their win over Hangzhou on Sunday, United wrapped their Asian Tour in fairly convincing
style. The victory pushed the Red Devils preseason record to 4-0 with 16 goals for and 6 against.
So just what should the average fan take away from these matches? That may be a bit difficult to
determine, but here are the points that hit home for me.
United continued their winning ways this evening/afternoon/morning, defeating Korean side FC
Seoul 3-2. Goals from Wayne Rooney, Kiko Macheda, and Dimitar Berbatov kept United undefeated
through three matches of their Asian Tour. Perhaps more notable than the scoreline was the fact
that the Korean crowds apparently haven't calmed down a bit since 2002.
Manchester United defeated hosts FC Seoul 3-2 on goals from Wayne Rooney, Federico Macheda and
Dimitar Berbatov earlier today in the third game of their 2009 Asian tour. The 64,000 capacity
Korean crowd gave a hero's welcome to Korean international Ji-sung Park when he came on for United
with 15 minutes left in the match.
Owen Hargreaves' career at Manchester United has been plagued with
injuries ever since he made the £17 million move from Bayern Munich, but it seems that he
is finally set to return to football. The holding midfielder spent entire last season on the
sidelines recovering from double knee surgery, but latest reports are suggesting he should
be ready for first team action in September.

Manchester United will kick off the European leg of their preseason campaign with their first
match in the Audi Cup 2009 against Argentinean side Boca Juniors. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30PM
EST, and will be immediately followed by Bayern Munich going up against AC Milan.
While preseason friendlies can sometimes be tedious affairs, today's match should be
particularly interesting as United fans will get their first chance to see Antonio Valencia decked
out in a Red Devils kit.

Liverpool have insisted that the fans, not commercial opportunities, are the reason that they are
undertaking their Asian tour.
Many see tours such as this as purely for financial benefit, but the Reds' commercial director, Ian
Ayre, told the club's official website, "We have a duty to contribute to these football markets and
to our supporters over here.
Just finished watching Liverpool's match against Thailand that kicked off their Asian Tour. The
match included some fairly decent football from Ryan Babel, a player I think we all believe needs
to up his level this season after being unimpressive in his first two seasons. The goal came in the
sixth minute off a great through ball from Carra to Babel, who just slotted it home with ease.
