Now THAT's what a friendly's supposed to be like!. Instead of a lone insane fan willing to charge a
moving golf-cart, you get hoardes of fans putting a stop to the operations of a shopping mall as
they trail not pretty boy Cristiano Ronaldo... but Jose Mourinho (who supposedly insisted that
George Clooney would be the best man to play him in a biopic).

English Premier League football club Blackburn Rovers will be entertaining East Asian fans on 27
and 30 July when it participates in the EPL's Asian Trophy in Hong Kong, along with Aston Villa and
Chelsea. Now, South Asian fans will get to see stars of the game on 23 July as Blackburn Rovers
players make a stop-over in India to play alongside local U-16 players in a special youth
tournament
English champions Manchester United will arrive in Bangkok on July 1 with the Premier League
trophy.
The trophy will be on display at CentralWorld and there will be activities with United players
led by Rio Ferdinand, Park Ji-Sung and Patrice Evra.
The visit will be part of the club's 12-day tour of Asia to thank their fans in this part of the
world.
This week is the first time in really long that we have NOT had a midweek match of any import
Citeh vs Stoke, the Manchester version obvisoulsy does not qualify as a 'match'. That's left our
football energy levels dangerously low, without its usual midweek adrenalin boost. Even United-lite
vs Schalke was fun, especially Anderson's massively-minimalistic, salsa-type,
whatever-the-hell-that-was celebration.
This fantastic article was on the front of ESPN Soccernet today. The title, "Liverpool hoping for
Asian tonic", is supremely underwhelming, as it attempts to tie in Liverpool's current form,
Manchester United and the Big Four, Asian academies, sponsorship, Barcelona's visit, and selling
shirts.
To be honest, the opportunities and current situation of Asian football do encompass all those
things, and many more.
The 2011 UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour presented by Heineken was launched yesterday and marked
the start of an exciting lineup of events for football fans in Asia ahead of the UEFA Champions
League final in May
