Asian Cup flops

Jakarta Casual 18 November @ 11:49 PM EST
So we approach the end of another Asian Cup qualifying round and how much closer are South ast Asian nations to qualifying? Mixed Results For Bryan Robson in Asian Cup Qualification

The Flat Back Four 18 November @ 12:06 PM EST
Bryan Robson's first taste of Asian football came last Saturday when Thailand traveled to Singapore. He came through that test with flying colours as the Thais comprehensively beat the Kallang Roar-deficient Singapore 3-1. That win boosted his credentials as a legitimate national team coach. What was even better that Saturday was that Noh Alam Shah, Singapore's best player would be suspended on Wednesday (today) when Thailand hosts Singapore at the Rajamangala Stadium. VID: Australia v. Oman Produces Fireworks. Literal Fireworks.

WorldCupBlog 15 November @ 11:22 AM EST

It is funny how a game that saw Mark Schwarzer put in a performance of a lifetime, and an Australian squad win in the final minutes while sporting a ten man squad for over 70 can be overshadowed by a firecracker.

One. Lame. Firecracker.

But since we can't get enough of this junk, check out the confusion as the sparks fly in the Australian/Oman Asian Cup qualifier.

The defeat has added to the horrible week that the Gold Coast have suffered, including a 6-0 whitewash by Wellington, and a huge condemnation by the public over club owner Clive Palmer's (right) decision to cap crowds at 5,000 to save money.

Out with the old
