Chuck Blazer's run as secretary general of CONCACAF will come to a close at the end of this year.

Blazer told the Associated Press that he'll be resigning from his post in December after a 21-year run in the position. Blazer added that he will maintain his position on FIFA's executive committee, for which he won't potentially be up for re-election until 2013.

FIFA has come down hard hard on North Korea for having players test positive during the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, including excluding the team from participating in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada. That means that should the USA qualify for 2015, it will not play the North Koreans for what would have been the FIFTH straight Women's World Cup.

Ever since the announcement of Qatar winning the right to host the 2022 World Cup, there has been a lot of grumblings about the fairness of the FIFA Executive committee as well as those who said they were supposed to be voting for the USA but decided to go another way.

Since then I have been discussing on my Internet show the different stories that portrayed a very negative light on FIFA -- when they would move the World Cup from the extreme hot temperatures in June and July into the winter months during the European seasons.
