While Harry Kewell is in Qatar representing his home-land Australia, his wife Sheree
Murphy is at home, well, looking good...
Sheree Murphy is an actress and has known for her roles as Tricia Dingle on Emmerdale
(1998 to 2004). But quit the show to concentrate on bringing up a family, her character was
duly killed off.
Australia has been granted the rights to host the 2015 Asian Cup.
Another great benefit of being in Asia and gives us a glimmer of hope should we fail to qualify for
2014 World Cup. The game never stops now does it?
But can we deliver quality pitches....we can't consistently for the A-League.

The FFA might not want a team in the A-League from Canberra but Canberra will host up to seven
games in the 2015 Asia Cup.
Fantastic.
Now show us how the FFA, Capital Football, ACT Government has any plan to use this huge and
significant tournament to build the game either through a professional football team, a youth team
and a legacy for the kids who play the game in Canberra.
While the Aussies played a 0-0 draw with UAE last night as they start their Asian Cup 2011 bid on
the weekend it was announced by AFC President and Qatari Bin Hamman that Australia has won the
rights to host the 2015 Asia Cup.
Aussie media are reporting we were the only bidder!
I'm telling you who cares.

On this week's predictions battle we feature games from the FA Cup, the Asia Cup, Serie A and La
Liga. Check out some language used in making predictions here. This week's guest predictor is
Laura, a Juventus fan.
Lucas Neill, Brett Emerton, Harry Kewell, Tim Cahill, Jason Culina, Mark Schwarzer will not be in
Brazil.
One or maybe two might - if Australia get there.
So this is really the last hurrah for these guys, as a team.
Let's hope they can build on the India game. They certainly look more prepared than the previous
Asia Cup in Thailand.
Really looking forward to this mouth-watering clash as are the Koreans if you go by the numbers of
Koreans posting on Aussie blogs!
Young fast and mobile with players, that's Korea, playing in big leagues in Europe against an
Aussie team ageing and in decline.
Korea thumped Australia 3-1 earlier this year in Seoul and it could be a similar night tomorrow.

In this week's predictions battle we feature two matches from the Asia Cup, a Bundesliga
top-of-the-table clash, an interesting La Liga clash, and more big games from the premier
League.
Liverpool recently sacked Roy Hodgson after an underwhelming campaign and brought in former boss
and club legend Kenny Dalglish to take the reins on a temporary basis. But the Scot is yet to taste
victory in his second stint at the helm.
His first game in charge was against Manchester United in the FA Cup, which ended in a 1-0 defeat
to his side.
The FA Cup third round games and the appointment of Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool's manager
dominated the football news in England, while in other news Messi was awarded the Ballon d'Or, the
Asia Cup got underway and Inter returned to form in Serie A under new manager Leonardo. Check out
languagecaster.
South Korea 2 1 Bahrain
Attendance: 6,669
Ji-Sung Park was captain and played just behind the striker Ji Dong-Won. It was left winger Koo
Ja-Cheol who scored both the goals though.
Australia 1 1 South Korea
Attendance: 15,526
Park played the same role and Koo Ja-Cheol scored the only goal again.

In which South Korean striker Ji Dong-Won is denied a hat-trick against India
(in the Asia Cup) by a wonderful, defiantly amateurish display of last-ditch defending...

South Korea eventually rode out as 4-1 winners, so perhaps we shouldn't lavish India's defensive
line with too much praise.
Harry did it in the last minute but for most of us followers of Aussie football it was Matt McKay
the Aussie who roared.
Inspirational.
Technically adept, swift of foot and can he run. In the modern game you need a motor, in the
international game you need an exceptional motor, especially in midfield.
Aussie football is dead, long live Aussie football.
Australia produced a performance at the Asia Cup, good enough, just to sneak into the Asia Cup Semi
Finals for the first time.
Sure it was close but Matt McKay, Sas Ognenovski, David Carney, Mile Jedinak and Nathan Burns were
a few of the A-League made players who are not comfortable in the Green and Gold.
Liverpool playmaker target Keisuke Honda is reportedly heading for a CSKA Moscow exit.
The Japanese international is currently representing his country in the Asia Cup, but that hasn't
stopped agent Kees Pleogsma playing up the chance of a move away from the Russian Premier League
outfit.
Former Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson was heavily linked with a move for the player before he got the
axe at Anfield, although new manager Kenny Dalglish is also thought to be keen on the player.

In this week's predictions battle we feature the final of the Asia Cup, games from Italy,
England and Germany, as well as some big battles from the English FA Cup 4th Round.
Everton's Tim Cahill says he's ready to win the Asia Cup this Saturday when his Socceroos meet
Japan in the final. After many pundits had Uzbekistan and Australian on even odds prior to their
semi-final match on Tuesday, the Socceroos ran out and cruised to an easy 6-0 victory.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-final matchup, Japan battled hard and knocked off South Korea on
penalties.

As far as getting there goes, this is the big one.
