Emmanuel Adebayor combined balance, poise and power to score his stunning bicycle-kick goal on Tuesday night. Our man at the game, Neil Ashton, hailed it "a masterpiece . . . already in goal of the century territory".

But the Arsenal striker will have to do better to be included in our.

If, like me you're still trying to get to grips with the play-off semi-final second leg defeat at the Abbey Stadium on Monday then I've found the best thing to do is begin to look forward to next season. In my opinion there's a lot to be excited about. For the first time in years we should have more or less the same squad and management team in August.

On Friday Emily and I put up my very first soccer goal!! I was tempted too but I decided it would be really cool if one of my players take the first shot on it! So my man Ashton Durham, in the short video above, slammed in a great first kick and then topped it off with an excellent goal celebration!

.Back in January the odds on Burnley beating both Manchester United and Everton by one goal to nil would have been significantly high. The town of Burnley only is only home to around 73,000 residents (the smallest in the division), they have the smallest wage bill in the Premier League and their transfer funds are [.

It seems very weird that Stevenage are playing in a FA Trophy Final tomorrow afternoon. Somehow there is not the same buzz there was 2 years ago when Mark Stimson's side played Kidderminster Harriers in the first competitive final at the new Wembley Stadium. I don't know whether it is the fact that the stadium has lost its new 'magic' or that the main aim of the club this season has been promotion from the Blue Square Premier.

The season ended on a high in a sunny North London as Stevenage Borough beat York City 2-0 to win the FA Trophy at Wembley. It was the perfect end to what has been a difficult week for the club. Boro were the dominant force throughout and what could of been a trciky encounter ended up being a walk in the park for Graham Westley's side.

Stevenage continued their recent improvement, brushing aside Eastbourne Borough 2-0 at Broadhall Way. Boro dominated the game throughout and could of won by more had the 3 strikers of Boylan, Cole and Beardsley had their shooting boots on.

Westley named a 4-3-3 formation with Michael Bostwick, Joel Byrom and Stacy Long all starting in midfield.

On the back of Boro's biggest win of the season so far last Saturday, we entertain in-form Salisbury at The Lamex Stadium tomorrow. It may prove to be a tough game however history is on our with 4 wins and one draw in our last 6 meetings. Our last defeat was back in March 2008 when Matt Tubbs scored a last gasp winner to deny Peter Taylor's team from going second in the league at the time.

This weeks piece from Neil Ashton in the NOTW suggests a problem at the club between Mark Hughes and Jim Cassell:

The simmering tensions between Mark Hughes and legendary academy director Jim Cassell erupted after his office was cleared without his knowledge.

Cassell, who has recently been promoted to work in Abu Dhabi, discovered files and paperwork from over 10 years' service had been dumped in a corridor at Manchester City's Platt Lane academy.

Even after the sending off of Darren Murphy, goals from Mark Roberts and a brace from Steve Morison sent Broadhall Way crazy in a thrilling second half.

Today was another game where Stevenage were held by opposition you would expect to be beating if your side are serious challengers for promotion. It hasn't been the start that Graham Westley would of been hoping for. After last season started slowly, they ended the campaign strongly to finish the season in the play-offs and it looks like Westley may have to repeat the trick again this season to try and win promotion.

Birmingham (Villa Park), Bristol (New Ashton Vale), Leeds (Elland Road), Liverpool (Anfield or New Anfield), London (Wembley, Emirates Stadium, New White Hart Lane/Olympic Stadium*), Manchester (Eastlands, Old Trafford), Milton Keynes (Stadium MK), Newcastle (St James' Park), Nottingham (New stadium), Plymouth (New Home Park), Sheffield (Hillsborough), Sunderland (Stadium of Light)
