Soccerlens bring to you: The Cheaters XI which is basically just the England squad of
the last five or so years (plus a few peripherals) which, you can't help but feel, may say more
about the British tabloid press than it does about the skewed fidelity of our nation's footballing
protagonists!
Now before I begin, you have to realise this article is entirely based on the fact that England
have made a solid start to their Euro 2012 qualification support and should, emphasis on should,
comfortably qualify for the tournament in Poland/Ukraine. With Capello's decision back in the World
Cup not to name his team selection until a few hours before kickoff, treat this as a shot in the
dark at who will play in the Euro 2012.
It's always difficult to put together a "Best of" in any sport because there are so many
variables to consider that determine who qualifies, and particularly in this Premier League season,
there are many players who warrant serious consideration. This season has shown that competition is
still fierce at both ends of the table, and results have shown that "The Big Boys" have not had it
their own way, and some newcomers have shined in the spotlight.
Arsenal fans have spent the past day coming to this blog saying that their club and their fans
are way too classy to sing the type of songs sections of Manchester United fans sing at
Arsene Wenger.
They of course fail to acknowledge sections of their fans replicate the hissing noise of the gas
chambers when they play Tottenham Hotspur.

The where: Stamford bridge (41,841)
The when: 4 December, 3pm local time (10am EST)

The more I am thinking of tomorrow's game, the more I am thinking about where the difference
could be, someone to create something out of nothing and someone to step up for Chelsea to be the
difference. I believe the with the news on Frank Lampard yesterday being out, I am not sure
if Ramires will play next to Mikel and Essien, and I think it is too much of a big game for
McEachran in Ancelotti's eyes, so I believe Kalou will get the nod tomorrow to start.
"See your future, be your future. May, make, make it, make it. Make your future."
England and Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole seems to have landed on his feet
since his Divorce to Cheryl Cole recently.
Cole's latest conquest is none other than I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
contestant and former Play-Boy Model Kayla Collins.
10 Thoughts on Chelsea 1-1 Everton is a post from: Just Football
An air of discontent is swirling around Stamford Bridge at present after a spell of form not
quite up to the very high standard set by Chelsea in the Abramovich era. Here are ten observations
from an important game for both sides:
Liberal left
Everton's gameplan when in possession was to focus their attacks down the left
hand side.

Is it the cold weather? A new shyness breaking our amongst our baller boys? We're not sure, but
there was certainly a dearth of nekkidness in the European league fixtures this weekend. This
makes our job very difficult indeed.
With tomorrow's game approaching, having already won the group but at the same time in need of a
confidence and morale boosting win at the Velodrome tomorrow night, I was wondering if you reading
this were Carlo Ancelotti then what team would you put out to start the game tomorrow and who would
be on the bench?
What once was expected to be a showcase has now become much, much more.
I don't think anyone, a few weeks ago, could have envisaged a scenario where our final match of
the Champions League group stages would not represent a chance for this much-adored batch of youth
products to strut their stuff.
Tonight Chelsea take to the pitch in what would have been a nothing game at the Velodrome after
already winning the group and Marseille qualifying in second place. The events of the last few
weeks have changed the meaning of this game in a way none of us would have expected. Chelsea need a
good performance and a win tonight to rekindle the fire in our bellies and to get back to winnings
ways ahead of the most important part of our season.
MARSEILLE, France — Chelsea travelled to Marseille here Wednesday seeking an upturn in their
fortunes but it wasn't to be as their French hosts came away with a deserved 1-0 win in this
concluding 'dead' Champions League Group F encounter. Aside from seeing two decent penalty appeals
turned down Chelsea will find it hard to [.
It's that time of year again. Manchester United play Arsenal so Sir Alex Ferguson feels the need
to try and placate our fans and stop us singing songs about Arsene Wenger being a paedophile by
likening them to Munich chants.
I'm not for one second suggesting that United fans should call a grown man and father a
paedo.
The recovery has begun. Even if this one was as painful as it was therapeutic.
A vexing period for me right now.
On the one hand, I should be pleased. The famous CFC finally broke from its slumber, playing
with a style/ substance and a passion not seen since early October.
Kia Joorabchian: Carlito is his cash cow
Surprise. Surprise. It is Carlos Tevez, threatening to leave Man City after submitting a
transfer request. The ostensible reason is he is homesick and separated from his children who live
in Argentina. Which means that he is leaving to play for Boca or Huracan.
Some people love the guy, some think his time is up, I'm afraid to say that my opinion is of the
latter please read what I say before castigating me!
When Ashley Cole left, Clichy took his chance so well he displayed all the characteristics he
displayed now but there was also a reliability to his game, you knew that if you but the very best
up against him you could hedge your bets on him giving them a damn good game.

Most men, correct us if we're wrong, are just happy to leave the house in clothes that don't
smell or have too many wrinkles. As women, though, we require more.
Of course, expecting footballers to dress themselves well and not get stains on their clothing
on a night out is a horse of a different colour.
The Chelsea (and ex-Arsenal) defender Ashley Cole has given his old team a warning ahead of Monday
night's massive clash at the Emirates. Cole says that Chelsea's bad recent form has been simply
that they were missing Frank Lampard, john Terry and Michael Essien, but now all three are back to
full fitness they are ready [.

Ashley Cole has spoken of tomorrow's game and has sent a warning to the Arse. He said:
"We've been disappointing in our last six games and it's a big contrast to how we
started the season, but we have a lot of big players back to fitness and it's going to give us a
boost.

David Seaman has spoken out about the treatment Ashley Cole had at the club which you have to say
is somewhat surprising. Of course there will be stories and quotes ahead of tomorrow as the press
and media build up to one of the biggest games of the season, but for Seaman to speak out against
Arsenal it will raise a few eyebrows to say the least.

We just about passed the half way point in what has been an unpredictable season so far. We
always like to take this time to look at the players that have stood out in this first half of the
season. There is a lot of conversation (read: arguing) that goes into compiling one of these
lists and this year there are a number of surprise picks in the bunch.
The one match of the day is the match of the week Chelsea goes crosstown to take on Arsenal at
the Emirates. Kickoff is at 8pm in London (3pm ET; watch it on ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, or ESPN3.com
in the US).
Here are a handful of links to get you ready for the big match:
We find it's very useful to have the Current Squad lists in front of us, for #s, nationalities,
and links to individual player bios: Chelsea & Arsenal.
When does strength turn into a lead foot? When does power equate with a decline in acceleration?
Judging from Carlos Ancellotti's masochistic managerial style, the sun is setting quickly on
Chelsea's current crop of stars. The Italian left AC Milan when he deemed aging legs incapable of
providing trophies yet only six months removed from a double-winning year, Chelsea looks lost as
compared to Arsenal's ascent.
An important London derby took place on Monday, with Chelsea visiting Emirates Stadium to face
Arsenal. The Gunners looked the sharper squad this day, and a big second half breakout sent them to
a 3-1 victory against the struggling champions.
Arsenal v Chelsea Starting Formations
The home squad started in a 4-2-3-1 formation, manager Arsene Wenger's tried-and-true.
Here are some news items to get you through Monday night, whether you're enjoying decent weather
on the West Coast, or sitting stuck in multiple feet of snow on the East Coast:
Arsenal thrashes Chelsea. Theo Walcott torches Ashley Cole and Chelsea's woes continue.
Real Salt Lake extends loan of Paulo Jr.
A must-win game for both sides today with the teams jockeying tentatively for the first half
hour. Neither side could settle into rhythm, and ten minutes on it looked that Arsenal were
bending, a team on the brink of panic, clearing poorly and unable to hold the ball in attack.
Chelsea were countering quickly, and though they held less possession it seemed like Drogba might
make something happen all on his own.

Some fire. Finally.
It wasn't easy. It wasn't pretty. But a win's a win. It's that simple.
That first half might have been the worst patch of football I've seen from Chelsea at least in
quite some time. We were lifeless. Nothing there.
Then came a second half ripe with what we have come to expect from our club.
