Every year Premiership managers conspire to spend millions of pounds on exotic sounding foreign
players whose names have never graced the screens of an English TV. Last year it was Marouane
Fellaini, a £15 million signing for Everton. And what's more, his tough tackling, willingness to
play ludicrously out of position, and even more ludicrous haircut have made the Premiership a
better place over the last twelve months.
Pictures have been leaked of the new away kit for newly promoted Birmingham City.
Designed and manufactured by Umbro, and sponsored by F&C Investments, the new Birmingham City
away kit will be released this summer for the 2009-10 season.
Just like many Premier League clubs next season, Birmingham City has decided to choose a black
away kit.
The silence has been deafening from the Emirates. The silence that is, to deny that Adebayor
is not leaving the club.
In the past and we can look at Vieira, every season he was with us, Henry for the last three
season, Cesc last two seasons and even Adebayor last season, Wenger was very vocal in telling
everyone that these players were going nowhere.
If we did indeed have an office here at WDKF towers, im sure the topic of debate (in the
interests of football and jounalism!) would once and a while turn towards the phenomenon that is
"the WAG"... and who indeed is "the best" In my opinion, you can't really beat the Tweedy, for she
ticks all the boxes.

Most Hated Men in Football
Listen up, England fans: Jack Warner, FIFA Vice-President and
CONCACAF President, might be the one man you're going to want to have a quiet chat with
when hosting for World Cup 2018 is decided in 2011.
The beautiful game#8217;s kings of bling 1. David Beckham Football#8217;s undisputed king of bling.
Probably only uses Gucci toilet roll. Changes his image on a Madonna-esque basis, and the cars and
jewellery is updated just as frequently. In fact, the only bling accessory Becks has that has gone
out of fashion is his wife.
Breakfast TV presenter to blame for left-back's arrest By now you have probably read elsewhere that
Chelsea and England star Ashley Cole has been arrested for being drunk and disorderly. The
left-back was locked up after repeatedly swearing at police outside Collection nightclub in west
London. Cole spent three hours in a cell while he sobered up, [.
The man to moniter Messi Everyone's favourite monobrowed comedy right-back will become a makeshift
monobrowed comedy left-back tonight when Chelsea take on Barcelona in the Champions League
semi-final. Jose Bosingwa will swap flanks to replace the suspended Ashley Cole, and will be
charged with thwarting Lionel Messi.

It is practically impossible for Kazakstan to qualify for the 2010 World Cup Finals, whereas
England are sitting quite comfortably at the top of Group Six, 5 points ahead of nearest rivals
Croatia.
William Gallas joined us as part of the Ashley Cole transfer. Nobody knows whether Gallas
really want to join Arsenal or if he wanted to move abroad. Gallas seemed a reluctant Gooner in
his first season, always complaining about the team's attitude, their lack of desire to win. It was
a surprise then that Arsene appointed Gallas as captain on Henry's departure.
I know others have done the dirty on the club and some have frankly pissed all over their former
fans, Ashley Cole springs to mind, but for some reason this guy just takes the biscuit. Simple as,
not a thought provoking article just how I feel about this guy right now!

Reports in the UK media are saying that mega bucks Manchester City are preparing a £15 million
bid for Toure.
Toure was subject of a bid from Manchester City in January; in fact the Ivory Coast defender
handed in a written transfer request, but was persuaded by Wenger to withdraw it.

The Chelsea v Inter Milan match in Pasadena, California last night turned out to be a
Hollywood affair as a crapton of celebrities were in attendance, including Charlize Theron, Ashton
Kutcher, Alyssa Milano, and honorary Chelsea captain Will Ferrell. The match ended 2-0 in favor of
Chelsea, but what if it continued?
Some papers are today linking us with a move for Aaron Lennon this summer, with him playing a
position we need to look at strengthening whether Cristiano Ronaldo moves on or not. I want Nani to
be good but he hasn't been this season and whilst I'm a big fan of Park, who is set to get an
improved £50k a week contract soon, he's not your typical winger.
Jose Bosingwa is injured and out for up to 3 months, making Branislav Ivanovic a great choice.
Previously Ivanovic was a rotation risk, but since Bosingwa has been out Ivanovic has played a
truckload of minutes. In the last 5 games, he has picked up 4 clean sheets. Further, with Ashley
Cole also injured, Ivanovic's spot in the squad is even more likely to be cemented.

Brazil take on England in Doho, Qatar, for the first of three international friendlies before
the World Cup finals in South Africa next year.
Dunga's men see the England game as a real test against one of their main contenders in the
competition in 2010.
Let's get the Dean Windass jokes out of the way and get right to some fantasy footie. I'm going to
stray from our usual format this week and instead end the fantasy footie season in a stream of
consciousness style...
I apologize but there is just too much on my professional/personal plate this evening to delve
deeply into the top matches of the week and preview this week's results and tactics - so instead
I'll stick with a longer version of our usual "Studs and Duds" section as the main body of work.
Last week coach Fabio Capello revealed England's national squad roster for the upcoming
September 6th friendly against Slovenia, followed by the September 9th World Cup Qualifier against
Crotia. There were a few surprises on the roster additions, but what might have been most
surprising was a few of the names left off of the list.
Côte d'Ivoire and Chelsea striker Didier Drogba threw a star-studded
charity bash at The Dorchester Hotel on Saturday evening and Footy
Factor was their to capture all the action. With proceeds from the black-tie event going
towards the Didier Drogba Foundation and it's goal to build a hospital for children in
Abidjan, Drogba's place of birth, famous friends descended on Park Lane eager to flash
some cash.
Late Liverpool Halt Chelsea's Faltering Challenge It's a cold Sunday
afternoon and I've parked my backside on the sofa to watch Liverpool vs Chelsea, a
clash of the title contenders. Man United's ominous form coupled with their rivals inability to
keep pace means we all know that the team that loses Sunday's game is well and truly out
of the title [.

Chelsea meet Arsenal at the Emirates.
Two clubs licking their wounds. Nothing materially changes with a result but there are old
favourites to play for, like the satisfaction of seeing Ashley Cole's nose caked in mud.

Let's go month by month and revisit some of our premier league predictions. The good, the bad, and
the ugly. In part I, we look at predictions from 2008. In part II, we'll look at 2009.

It is looking like United can be beaten whilst still possessing that luck that can get them out of
bad situations, you make your own luck though. Chelsea seem to have lost that edge that gave them
resilience like no other, their only stand out performers this season have been Didier Drogba and
Ashley Cole, [.
On Saturday evening, the Chelsea boys past and present were out for the Didier Drogba Foundation
charity ball.
Oh, we love us a footballer in a penguin suit, we do. Sadly, many of the boys try to put their
own personal stamp on black tie wear. (Looking at you shiny-suit Claude).
We give you: Didier Drogba, Claude Makelele, Nicolas Anelka, Joe Cole, Michael Essien, John
Terry and Ashley Cole.
1) Christano Ronaldo The Winker from Portugal was arguably the best player in the world last

Andres Iniesta scored one of the most dramatic goals in UEFA Champions League history to sink
Chelsea and send 10-man Barcelona into a final showdown with Manchester United.
Three minutes into injury time in a second leg that Chelsea had dominated, the Spain midfielder
latched on to a pass from Lionel Messi and lashed an unstoppable shot spinning into the top corner
of the net.
England has named their 24 man roster for the upcoming World Cup Qualifying matches against
Kazakhstan and Andorra in June. Currently England has a 5 point lead atop Group 6 in qualifying and
two more victories would put them in great shape to win the group. The match against Kazakhstan is
June 6th and on the road, while Andorra is June 10th and home at Wembley.
No, no es exagerado el título. Ya que Lucas Lobos será quien represente la imagen más
importante de los nuevos tachones adidas F50i en México, justo como ya lo hace
Lionel Messi a nivel mundial.
cancha.

The best player on the pitch in the FA Cup, Florent Malouda, was also the best player on the pitch
in the 2nd half of Chelsea's 2-0 pre-season win over Club America last night.
Malouda scored one goal and set up another - with a delightful chip to Franco di Santo.
The Charity Shield illustrated several points of concern for EPL FF managers looking to Man Utd
defenders, and has started to turn decisions on players into something of a headache. Vidic has
been ruled out for up to two weeks with a calf injury, Ben Foster had some shaky moments in goal
which may have opened the door for Kuszczak.
No. 1 for England? You wouldn't start on my Sunday League team in L.A., mate
The countdown to the season is truly on now - just five days to go, and we got a taste of what's to
come yesterday as Chelsea took down Manchester United in the Community Shield on penalties. I
watched the match with pen and paper in hand - and here are some of my player specific reactions
and ratings - on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest).
Out of town for the weekend - but didn't miss much on the footie front other than a few surprising
World Cup qualifying results. Let's take a look at some of the news coming out of the international
break as it pertains to the Premier League:
- Israel crashed out of World Cup qualifying despite dominating their match against Latvia.
What are you waiting for?
Emmanuel Adebayor has managed to make himself even more unpopular among the Arsenal fans than a
certain Ashley Cole, which is saying something. More than likely every single Gunners fan would
like to say something to the Manchester City striker, so here's your chance.

Sir Alex Ferguson hit out at referee Martin Atkinson after watching his side lose 1-0 to
rivals Chelsea on Sunday.
At 1800 this evening my best mate who is a Arsenal fan text me with the message "it was men against
boys" and let's face it, he's not wrong. Chelsea stamped their authority on Arsenal and the Premier
League with an impressive and dogged display against Arsenal at the Emirates as we came out 3-0
winners with two goals from Didier Drogba and an own goal from Vermaelen.

Today head coach Pep Guardiola announced the 20 players available for tomorrow's Champions
League match at home against Chelsea. With no real suprises Pinto, Sanchez and Rodriguez were the
three that will not be present for the match. In additional Guardiola will have to drop two more
players by match time tomorrow.
