Manchester United made a successful debut onto the Europa League stage winning 2-0 away against
Ajax, in the first leg of the round of 32. United take a comfortable lead back to Old Trafford,
courtesy of second half goals from Ashley Young and Javier Hernandez, but will be without Antonio
Valencia for up to four [.
Wayne Rooney and Nani have trained for the last two days and will be in the squad for Chelsea.
Ashley Young should also be included and there is the possibility that Tom Cleverley will be too.
It is more likely that Tom will next play for the Reserves against Chelsea on Monday but he will
travel with the squad this weekend.

1. At the start of the day I'd have taken a point at Stamford Bridge. We never win there,
regardless of which team goes in to the game in better form, so a draw is a decent enough result.
Don't forget that City lost there a few weeks ago, so despite some of their drag performances this
season, Chelsea are still the 4th best team in the country.

Antonio Valencia was rested last night in order to help bring Ashley Young and Nani back to
fitness. He was brought on in the second half though and ran through the defence before giving the
ball to Rooney, who set Chicharito up for our second.
However, he only lasted ten minutes before being subbed off with an injury.
Ashley Young, who scored Manchester United's opening goal against Ajax this week, has claimed
that he is getting used to every game being a cup final for the opposition.
"You realise from the first time you join the club how much pressure is put on you," he
said. "And every team wants to beat Man United.
We suppose Newcastle fans have to get used to top clubs being interested in their very best
players. Tim Krul top Newcastle goalkeeper That happened with Andy Carroll just over a year ago
and we eventually lost the local lad, but at least Ashley was able to get a cool £35M in cash for
the Gateshead-born striker.
The renaming of Newcastle United's ground continues to rankle people, this time in parliament where
a Commons motion has been taken out to object to it. Ashley's plans to rename St James' Park after
his T-shirt company have certainly caused a stir, one that stretches as far as House of Commons. 12
MPs have signed [.
Despite initially fearing he would be out for a month, Antonio Valencia will likely be available
for our trip to Tottenham next weekend.
"The availability of Ashley Young and Nani as natural wide players considerably strengthens
our attacking options," Ferguson wrote in the programme for Ajax.

Ryan Giggs scored a dramatic 92nd minute winner on the day he celebrated his 900th appearance for
Manchester United, to beat Norwich 2-1 in a pulsating encounter at Carrow Road. The Welsh legend's
goal ensured a fairytale finish to his special day and kept United within two points of league
leaders City.
After Norwich equalised against Manchester United late on this afternoon it looked as though we
would have to settle for just one point.
However, Ryan Giggs, making his 900th appearance for the club, ensured we left with all three
after scoring an injury time winner.
"I think it's team spirit," Giggs told MUTV.
The way in which various clubs are free to use and abuse the loan system has been criticized on
this website but, as a Plymouth supporter, I have to concede that the ability to bring in temporary
signings has been a real blessing this season. Having plummeted to the bottom of League 2, Argyle
only began to emerge from the wilderness following a flurry of borrowed arrivals back in November,
shortly after exiting administration.
