Antonio Valencia was rested last night in order to help bring Ashley Young and Nani back to fitness. He was brought on in the second half though and ran through the defence before giving the ball to Rooney, who set Chicharito up for our second.

However, he only lasted ten minutes before being subbed off with an injury.

Ryan Giggs scored a dramatic 92nd minute winner on the day he celebrated his 900th appearance for Manchester United, to beat Norwich 2-1 in a pulsating encounter at Carrow Road. The Welsh legend's goal ensured a fairytale finish to his special day and kept United within two points of league leaders City.

After Norwich equalised against Manchester United late on this afternoon it looked as though we would have to settle for just one point.
