The little Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin has jusy won the "Best Russian Player" award for
August, but doesn't feel he deserves it, in fact he doesn't think he has played to his full ability
since he arrived in England. "I am very much surprised," he said. "If I became No 1 last month that
means there [.

The Interlull (tm Arseblogger) allows assessment of the season so far, and despite the paucity
of games, we have much to discuss.
I would like to start with our esteemed manager. Apart from the GK blip, Wenger has been very
good with 3 top class signings in close season.
The midfield has been very good. Nasri continued his pre-season form and looks a fantastic
player, his injury is a blow. To see Nasri take on and beat a player then lay off an accurate
pass is to see the future of this Arsenal team. Should /When Cesc goes, this will o' the wisp is
his natural successor assuming he remains fit.
Arsenal won easily today at home to Bolton, 4-1, and while Arshavin and Fabregas created most of
the goalscoring chances, it was the 23 year old Cameroonian Alex Song who really caught the eye.
Song is just coming into his ... Continue reading →
Arsenal 4-1 Bolton
Good weather, good mates, good football. A fine cocktail that makes for a very pleasant Saturday
afternoon indeed.
Bolton going down to ten men might have made things ultimately a bit easier, but I don't think
4-1 flattered us at all. Poor old Arshavin for one must be wondering how he ended up without a goal
to his name, but he wasn't the only one who was one-on-one and missed – Chamakh got in on the act
too.
Arsenal 4 1 Bolton
We are winning matches this season that we have previously struggled with arent we?!
Cahill deserved to be sent off. He went in from behind with both feet off the ground. Silly
really, considering the position that he gave the free-kick away.
We should have had the game wrapped up by half time.
Arsenal 6 0 Braga
Arshavin 30, Chamakh 34, Fabregas 53, 9(pen), Vela 69,84
I predicted a 3 0 win for Arsenal. I never imagined we would put six past Braga. I watched their
qualifying games against Celtic and Sevilla and they played well against both.
Fabregas and Wilshere pulled the strings for Arsenal all night long.
The little Russian maestro Andrei Arshavin scored a goal in Arsenal's 6-0 rout of Braga last night
before being taken off after an hour, but he doesn't think that the team played any better than
usual! "I wouldn't say we played a fantastic match. We've shown what we can do and that we know how
to [..
Arsene Wenger seems to keep the faith with Andrei Arshavin, despite his form being indifferent at
best. Yes he has the occasional flash bit of footwork that comes off, but most of the time he seems
to be passing the ball to empty space or straight to an opponent. The official Arsenal website has
said that [.

The little Russian striker Andrei Arshavin has been musing on the strange game at Sunderland on
Saturday, and says that although the Arsenal fans won't be happy with the final result, they should
"understand that our victories are ahead". "Today we had, as expected, a difficult match." he said.
"Our opponent played well, but I [.
Sunderland 1 1 Arsenal
Fabregas 13, Bent 90+
Ouch! That really did cut deep on Saturday. I was in a terrible mood for about an hour after the
game.
My fiancé Carly then became a little ratty with me for being unable to shake off the
disappointment.
I thought it was about time I awoke from my blog slumber and made an effort to put my hands on a
keyboard, to be honest I felt like doing it last Wednesday after we beat the Marsh Landers, but
although it was nice to beat the Spuds, the stopping of the gobbing off and text messages was more
akin to scraping something unpleasant off the bottom of my shoe, they are just an unnecessary
irritation.
The Arsenal midfielder Andrei Arshavin says that the team blew the opportunity to catch up with
Chelsea, but it was just one of those days! He thinks that the Gunners will just have to use the
next "opportunity" when they face the League Leaders next Sunday. He said: "We will need to use our
opportunity next [.
Well here is an interesting story to come out of this weekends embarrassment by West Brom at home.
The official Arsenal website holds a weekly poll on the supporters Player-of-the-Week, and
obviously this week's winner just had to be Samir Nasri after his one-man attempt to save the
points, but no-one would have guessed that [.
Here we go again! It's time to get back on track, iron out our failings and learn from our
mistakes. Simples.
Of course, losing is part of the rich tapestry of football. But losing while seemingly having
forgotten the basics is harder to shrug off.
If you fall off a horse, they say, the best thing to do is get straight back in the saddle.
Partizan Belgrade 1-3 Arsenal
I've got very little time this morning to chuck something out through the internets, but if I were
to lob a couple of observations out there, it would be these:
IF Lukasz Fabanski had been able to choose in advance what kind of night he
would have, I have no doubt he'd have picked one of those games that enabled him to pull off a
trophy save, but otherwise be little called upon.
