I know in my last blog I said I would sway around the Tackling issue but enough is enough. So
much has happened in the last few days and some of it has been over the top.
Sam Allardyce, Owen Coyle, Harry Redknapp and even Steve Bruce have criticized Mr Wenger on his
comments about referees.

Arsenal was once the quintessential English football club, with its impressive marble hallways at
Highbury stadium and high-tempo football on the playing field. Highbury has now been replaced by
the modern Emirates Stadium, while Arsene Wenger has the club playing some of the most stylish
passing football in Europe.
Joe Hart as surprise as anyone to find an Arsenal keeper in the England training
So, the transfer window closed yesterday with a flurry of activities just like it has always
been since the window was introduced. Significantly for me and you, is that there was none relating
to Arsenal except for the one loan deal involving Armand Traore to Juventus on a loan deal (thank
you very much Juve).
Exaggerate them, make them seem worse than they are, really stretch out the time it will take
for the player to come back.
Why?
Is it not obvious?
This new Walcott injury and the manager's comments on the official website seem not quite
fitting to me, on one hand the injury is not as bad as expected as the scan is clear, but then he
says it will be up to 6 weeks till we see him again in an Arsenal shirt.
In his press conference after the Braga game Arsene was asked if he expected Wilshere to play a
central role so early in the season. In his usual forthright manner Arsene shared his wisdom,
Honestly, no. But football teaches you one thing be open-minded and never have a definite
opinion.
Last week, Arsene Wenger yet again accused another team of intentionally going after his players in
an attempt to take them out of the game. This time Sam Allardyce and Blackburn Rovers were his foil
(at other points Stoke have been one of his targets, too). As I read them, Wenger's comments had
the feel of "bad teams aren't good enough to compete with us, so they will just foul us to keep up.

Arsene Wenger has accepted a charge of improper conduct and an £8,000 fine by the FA following
his tap on Martin Atkinson's back at the end of the Premier League match with Sunderland on
Saturday...
Wenger will serve a one-match touchline ban during the League Cup third-round clash at rivals
Tottenham (he could have deferred the ban, I believe), which although it's a derby tells you all
you need to know about his continued dismissive attitude to the competition.
Spurs 1 Arsenal 4
If nothing else, Spurs' abject performance yesterday should cement the reputation of the 2007
Carling Cup team. Before, it had often been said that people don't take the Carling Cup seriously.
But when a fellow Champions League team is this outplayed when they chuck in a few kids, it shows
how well that team did.
With Manuel Almunia as number one choice, Arsenal will not win a trophy. It's as simple as that
really.
The Spanish keeper made another embarrassing mistake yesterday which helped West Brom earn a
shock 3-2 victory at the Emirates stadium.
It seems to me that the majority of Arsenal fans wanted the club to sign either Mark Schwarzer
or Shay Given, who were both linked with moves to the club.
Arsene Wenger is a man of many talents but modesty is not among them judging from his most
recent outburst. In the aftermath of the announcement that Arsenal had made a record profit in the
last financial year Wenger took time out to draw attention to his record for developing young
players.
Arsene Wenger has reiterated his belief that skipper Cesc Fabregas will soon return to full
fitness and lead the Gunners from the front again.
The Spanish midfielder, who was linked heavily with a move to his native Barcelona throughout
the summer, has struggled to overcome the fatigue from a successful World Cup campaign ever since
returning from South Africa.
He would be more gutted about his own injury than Blackburn scoring against Arsenal
The season goes on a 2 weeks break for Arsenal now. International matches has become a real
nuisance in terms of scheduling and planning. How else would you explain a set of friendlies
between pre-season and the first Premier League game and now another break after only 3 round of
league fixtures.
It seems every time Arshavin gives an interview in Russia he ends up making headlines back in
England. Some hacks have made an art out of translating an odd word out of context and making an
issue out of it.
The latest translation we've seen is from an interview with Sport Express. The English media has
jumped onto these words,
As for football I can say that my style has also altered it is more effective, but less
sparkling.
So, Theo Walcott must be dropped from the England set-up immediately. He is the sole reason why
England did not win the World Cup.
He can't pass or shoot and doesn't have a football brain.
It is Arsenal's fault for destroying a young talent who has clearly not lived up to his
potential, he can't even control a long-range pass from Steven Gerrard.
Manchester United have completed their first month of the 2010/11
season, and even though they had a little hiccup against Fulham, it was a pretty successful August
for the Reds.
In their four matches during August, United scored 11 goals with eight different players as well
as being the beneficiaries of an own goal finding the scoresheet.
While it has been Chelsea taking the Premier League by storm during the opening few weeks of the
season, their London rivals Arsenal have gradually been gradually continuing their solid start to
the campaign.
Arsene Wenger's side have been in very impressive form so far this season.
Mexican sensation Carlos Vela scored twice as Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side destroyed Portuguese
outfit SC Braga last evening at Emirates Stadium by 6:0. Skipper Cesc Fabregas got two as well
with Chamakh as well as Arshavin on the scoring board.
The 21 years old already scored on the weekend against Bolton as he slotted home calmly a
fantastic Cesc Fabregas chip pass.
After manager Arsene Wenger revealed there is no date set for the return of midfielder Abou Diaby,
it was announced yesterday on the club's official website how the home game against West Bromwich
Albion is ...
After watching the Premier League games on television this past weekend, I realized that we've
now reached a monumental place in the evolution of English football. Out of the 20 clubs in the
Premier League, there's only one that plays a traditional English style of football. And that is a
huge achievement.
Harry Redknapp, the Tottenham manager, has already said signing Gallas on a free transfer was an
excellent piece of business for Tottenham Hotspur. Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager, today
conceded that he could understand why Gallas chose to move to Tottenham. Obviously there are
logistical issues.
Winning at White Hart Lane is always special for Arsenal but doing it by four goals to one is
simply amazing and manager Arsene Wenger knows it. Speaking right after the game, the Frenchman
believes it ...
There's regular happiness, like nailing a speed run in Super Mario or convincing my wife to watch
"Star Wars," and then there's beating Spurs happiness. And after the 4-1 thumping we put on
Tottenham in ...

Continuing on from our wonderful drubbing of Sp*rs on Tuesday, our neighbours are not definitely
not happy. Rightly so, no one likes to lose a derby. But when the topic is unhappiness in centred
around the cheating of one Samir Nasri that turned the game on its head, then you start to
wonder just how clueless they really are.

The boss has long been derided for not taking the League Cup seriously enough drawing flak from
all and sundry. He has been roundly criticized for not grabbing the opportunity of winning a trophy
(any trophy!) and pursuing unrealistic Champions League dreams instead. He has been accused of
prioritizing one competition over the other and showing disrespect to two of the oldest cup
competitions in the world.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed his club for remaining competitive over the years, and
hits out at critics that point to the Gunners' lack of trophies since 2005. The Frenchman believes
that Arsenal has done an excellent job of competing with their closest rivals, despite a lack of
transfer money.
"Eeeeeeee-toooooooo!!! Eeeeeeeee-tooooooo!!! In yo face!" -- The Cardillo family living room circa
1998.My brother Pete doesn't like sports. Never has, probably never will.In ways, I respect him for
that since his general daily demeanor doesn't ebb-and-flow with what transpires on a field or
diamond or court hundreds of miles away, of which he has absolutely zero control over.
Arsenal today announced record pre-tax profits of £56m and said that the property built as part of
the move to the Emirates stadium, the Highbury Square development, is now debt free and making
money for the club.
It was only a matter of time before it happened, but Arsene Wenger has finally lost the
plot.
The Arsenal manager made an unbelievable boats to the press yesterday, claiming to be better at
developing young players than Sir Alex Ferguson.
"If you reproach me for not buying players, well if I buy players, Jack Wilshere doesn't come
out, so you cannot have everything.
Dissect the West Brom game as much as you want, but it won't make any difference to the
result.
I sat through the whole game in the Clock End Upper (love saying that as opposed to the South
Stand), right smack behind the goal, so had a wonderful vantage point over the course of the
miserable afternoon.
We made it more difficult because we were not at our usual level. Not defensively, not
offensively. Overall everything was difficult for us today passing the ball, winning the ball back,
winning the one against ones and we got what we deserved which was zero points. We didn't deserve
more.
It may only be early in the season, but we have already approached a major fork in the road, and
one that might have a significant bearing on the fortunes of Arsenal football club. To a man I
believe all Gooners would agree that up until the West Brom debacle it has been a quite wonderful,
albeit facile start to the season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski following his side's
Champions League victory. The Pole had another chance to shine as he stood in for the injured
Manuel Almunia against Partizan Belgrade, and he put in an impeccable performance as the Gunners
ran out 3-1 winners.
Transfer deadline day often fails to live up to its billing as the most exciting day of the
summer session. The final day for clubs to roll the dice on new players ahead of the new season
tends to come and go without intrigue.
Yesterday was completely different...
Back in June I wrote that,
I think what Almunia has shown with his patchy form over the last two years is that he
is good enough to be a back-up keeper but he has been promoted above his station. Whether he would
want to go back to bench-warming is something I can only speculate about.
Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky is hoping to be involved more in Arsene Wenger's squad this season
as he set scoring more goals as an objective. Speaking to iDnes.cz, the Czech International
explained how just like any ...
I don't know about all of you, but it seems like ages since I've seen Arsenal play. It seems
like ages since I've seen any football at all! I'm feeling some serious withdrawal, to the point
where I pondered whether or not I should watch this year's Superliga final. Turns out I'm not that
desperate.
20|20's longstanding relationship with Arsenal FC continues as the club officially opened their new
look and redeveloped Club Level at the Emirates Stadium last weekend in time for the first Premier
League home game of the season against Blackpool.
Ryan Shawcross has reacted furiously to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger's claims that along with
defensive partner Robert Huth, he had physically ambushed Tottenham's Gomes akin to a rugby tackle
in order to help Stoke City find an equalizer in a recent Premier League match.
Although Wenger's comments against a team that was playing the Gunners' bitter city rivals Spurs
comes across as a surprise, Shawcross is convinced that Wenger has held a grudge against him ever
since his late challenge unintentionally left Aaron Ramsey with a broken leg last season.
