This morning comes the news that the FA is to bring a series of charges against Aaron Ramsey who
now faces a three game ban, applicable from when he is declared fit enough to resume first team
action.
Sources within the FA say that he is to be charged under the following sections of the FA
Code:
Section 26.
Most of you probably watched Landon Donovan's debut appearance for Everton this morning in the
game against Arsenal. On sister site EPL Talk, I have an article analyzing Donovan's performance in
addition to Kartik Krishnaiyer's review on this site. But what did the English press think of his
performance?
Arsene Wenger considers bringing a hugely talented young striker to the Emirates.

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson maintains there has been no contact from Arsenal over
promising defender Chris Smalling and would expect a phone call from Arsene Wenger if there was any
interest.
Russian's fashion statement thwarted Yoink! Arsene Wenger wants all the post-match attention to be
on his team selection and the subsequent humiliating defeat, not some silly Russian attacker taking
to the pitch wearing his woolly hat.
After all the crazy quotes attributed to the Arsenal midfielder Andrei Arshavin, today we have the
craziest of all. Arsene Wenger said that he was "disappointed" about the Arshavin interview saying
that Barcelona were the best team in the world, and he would love to play for them, even if it was
for just one season.
Transfer rumors in the air:
First off, John Cross from the Mirror, normally a pretty good journalist (so it's not as if this
surfaced on Sport, Metro, or tribalfootball or something) is reporting that when he returns from
his honeymoon, Sol Campbell will re-sign a one-year contract with Arsenal.
If I hadn't read it in the Guardian I would have just laughed, but they have made a serious
accusation against Arsene Wenger. They reckon that the Arsenal manager said after his team's win at
Portsmouth on Wednesday that Chelsea and and Carlo Ancelotti "will drop points and steadily implode
over the remainder of the season [.
After the Gunners crashed out to Lionel Messi FC, are they heading for another trophyless
season?
We assess what lies ahead for Arsene Wenger and his young squad.
Wenger to extend contract?
The current Arsenal boss has just over a year left on his current contract.
After Arsenal's season was finished, I decided to wait until after the World Cup was over to
begin posting again. This was mostly because there are 500 Arsenal blogs out there and 2 false
transfer rumors making the rounds each day. So, now the World Cup is over and what is the big story
in ArsenalLand?
Arsene Wenger linked with bringing in Dutch failure to the Emirates, surely not!

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has offered Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger the chance to sign
Anfield misfit Ryan Babel , according to The People.
Think back to to 2006... it was a good year for Philippe Senderos. The young centre-half, whom
Arsene had signed way back in 2002 when he was a coveted prospect, started half of the club's
league matches and became a regular in central defense as Sol Campbell neared the end of the first
part of his Arsenal career.
The transfer window closes on February 1st, 2010 and rumours are totally doing the rounds. While
some rumours like the Ruud Van Nistelrooy move and the high profile Wayne Rooney transfer to Real
Madrid have been put to rest, there have been newer ones. The Spurs already seem set to lose David
Bentley and Jamie O [.

Yep, it's that time of year again folks. Manchester United or, on this occasion, Chelsea, are
touring their respective city in an open top bus showing off the Premier League trophy once again.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are insisting that next year will be their year and their first title in
decades whilst Arsenal have fallen away at the business end of the season and spent the last few
weeks glancing nervously over their shoulder for threats to their Champions League Place.
All football fans, across the planet, love a player in their team who does nothing but terrorise
the opposition, literally bully the life out them.
Harass the opponent, chase him down, force a mistake... and if all else fails, smash him to the
ground.
In 18-year-old Frimpong, we have a cast iron certainty of a future fans favourite, the kid is
100% assured to be the dominant midfielder in our team for years to come.
Well, it's kind of a slow news day, but you know me, that won't keep me from getting angry about
something.
Internationals are bullshit. Seriously. I always soften on them when the World Cup or Euros come
around, but then it hardly takes them a month to remind me why they are my single least-favorite
thing about football right now.
A last-minute equalizer at Anfield in their Premier League opener meant that the Gunners weren't
about to hit panic mode, despite the absence of quite a few of their starters.
In the build-up to that crucial fixture against Liverpool last week, manager Arsene Wenger spoke
with certainty about the absence of midfield trio Alex Song, Denilson, and skipper Cesc
Fabregas.

I know in my last blog I said I would sway around the Tackling issue but enough is enough. So
much has happened in the last few days and some of it has been over the top.
Sam Allardyce, Owen Coyle, Harry Redknapp and even Steve Bruce have criticized Mr Wenger on his
comments about referees.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has vowed to abandon his policy of blooding
members of his ever-burgeoning creche during the early rounds of the Carling Cup, in lieu of making
a concerted effort to actually win something this time out thus ending the club's five-year spell
of ultimately pointless dry-humping.
After Arsenal's home humiliation against Man Utd yesterday hit home, the fans have come out in
protest against Arsene Wenger's refusal to spend some of the massive profits he has made from
selling his best players in the last few years. The transfer window closes today, and Wenger has
already stated there will be no new [.
After suffering yet another bout of Déj vu, I would like to know what Arsene Wenger and the
Arsenal squad actually talk about in training. I can only presume tactics are not high on the
list.
Arsenal are a team that never seem to learn. Or maybe they are learning to be as stubborn as
their deluded manager?
Like a gambler in a casino, Sir Alex Ferguson went through a full range of emotions as he
watched his side crash out of the Champions League last night.
There was the initial euphoria of seeing his bets pay off as two surprise starters, Wayne Rooney
and Darron Gibson, were key to Manchester United storming to a three-goal lead against Bayern
Munich.

Arsenal are preparing a bid for long term target Ibrahim Afellay as Arsene Wenger looks to
strengthen his squad this summer.
Arsene Wenger gave an interview about Paul Scholes offering plenty of praise, claiming he wished
he played for Arsenal and that he has been integral to United's success over almost two
decades.
Wenger was then asked whether he thought Scholes was a fair player. I think any United fan would
be happy to admit that Scholes' tackling can be suspect at times, with him flying in on an opponent
and not always coming away with the ball.

Morning to you all, a fair bit to get through, most of which comes from yesterday's AGM.
It seems to have been a fairly pleasant meeting with lots of feel-good stuff being said. Which
is what you'd expect really, the club is well run from a financial point of view, we've gone into
it on the back of two good results and we're sitting third in the table with a big game coming up
on Sunday.
Four wins, zero draws and two defeats. Arsenal's home record this season is far from convincing in
the English Premier League and manager Arsene Wenger is fully aware of the problem. Speaking after
yesterday's 0-1 defeat ...

Now, I'm going to get to the real crux of the matter the stick that AW has taken for his
‘stubbornness' over recent campaigns. Arsene has been criticised for sticking so steadfastly to
his youth policy, but bear in mind some of the players that this approach has benefited so far
Bendtner, Clichy, Song, Vela, Wilshere and, of course, Cesc Fabregas, who is now valued in the £40
million category.
Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho has taken a veiled swipe at the current standard of the Premier
League as he ran the rule over the achievements of Carlo Ancelotti in his first season in charge of
Chelsea. The Italian coach saw his Stamford Bridge outfit secure their first Double when they beat
Portsmouth on Saturday at Wembley; a feat that not even the ‘Special One' achieved despite his
considerable success in England.

Barcelona are ready to begin a second transfer saga with Arsenal after targeting Gael
Clichy.
The Spanish giants are now believed to be on the trail of French left back Clichy, 24, which
will annoy Arsenal even further as they battle to hold on to captain Cesc Fabregas.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has apparently earmarked three World Cup performers as Emirates
additions as he continues his scouting mission in South Africa.
Arsenal was once the quintessential English football club, with its impressive marble hallways at
Highbury stadium and high-tempo football on the playing field. Highbury has now been replaced by
the modern Emirates Stadium, while Arsene Wenger has the club playing some of the most stylish
passing football in Europe.
It's this easy....Soccer is a game of undeniable beauty, but there are times of tragic ugliness.
That ugliness is no more apparent than when a player crosses the TV screen or right in front of
your face at the stadium that just gets your blood boiling. So mad that you just want to punch that
mother f*cker right in the face!
The Gunners boss appears to have a lot of plans up his sleeve!

Arsène Wenger is confident he will be able to sign the Bordeaux forward Marouane
Chamakh, a long-term target, under the Bosman ruling in the summer and could rely upon Bendtner to
lead the line in the absence of the injured Robin van Persie in the interim.
This past week, The Times newspaper published it's poll to determine "The Most Influential
Person in Sports" and guess who finished top of the pile. Fabio Capello, the enigmatic coach of an
England team that everyone has such high hopes for down in South Africa in June. Capello beats out
such revered names as Sepp Blatter, Lord Coe and Jeremy Darroch with Man Utd manager Sir Alex
Ferguson trailing in 7th place.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has joked that he would be interested in signing

Read between the lines Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has taken an inadvertent swipe at Arsenal and
Arsene Wenger ahead of his side's Champions League semi-final clash with Inter Milan. The Gunners
were the - probably unintended - victims of Guardiola's mind-games with Jose Mourinho as the Barca
boss effectively said that Arsenal were not as competitive as [.

History tells us Wenger never gives up on his man.
Rosicky was monitored for a number of years, we missed signing him when he left Sparta Prague,
in the Summer of 2001, for Germany.
AW finally cashed in on the Czech international during the Summer of 2006.
Felipe Melo is a player I personally rate very highly, he is obviously a player the manager also
rates as he had a bid rejected by Fiorentina last Summer, before he moved to Juventus for close to
£25M.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has vowed to bolster his defensive ranks over the
summer hiatus, after admitting that his side have been guilty of some 'average' defensive
performances last year.
Former Ajax centre-back Thomas Vermaelen has proven to be a shrewd acquisition
on Wenger's part, but sporadic injuries have marred an otherwise impressive debut season in the
Premier League for the Belgian.
