It is deadline day and Arsene is slowly running out of time to sign that elusive holding midfielder. A centre back or winger would also be rather nice. Although the mighty Arsenal have not been in action, observing England's persistent failure to ever amount to anything remotely near the sum of its parts is a good reminder for me of just how easy it is to produce mediocre football, and how fortunate we are to have the quality of football that Arsene routinely serves up for us.

Well another win up the shanties of Bolton. I will have to mention that I did predict the score at 3-1 as well. So that win, combined with the rest of the results from Saturday and Sunday, put us top of the league. Liverpool found a way to draw with Stoke, and ManUre and Chelski played out a 1-1 draw, so it was great for us to get all 3 points away from home.

I must say that I'm gutted that Le Boss hasn't added to the squad but I'm hardly surprised by it. My old man said at about 6pm last night that Mr Wenger wouldn't sign anyone and although I kinda believed him I still had that hope that something would happen.
Hope is the main word here. I really "hoped" we would sign someone but we didn't.

Coming out of the ground on Saturday I heard one disgruntled Arsenal fan behind me say "You know, if it were up to me I'd drop the whole fucking lot of them and play the kids on Tuesday".

There has been a lot of reaction to our recent defeat to Hull, most of it pretty sensible, even if some of it has been a little over the top and out of perspective, that's only in my humble opinion after all. Arsene has had some strong words to say and even admitted that he was made 'physically sick' by the performance.
