It's August 2015, 4 seasons since Wenger was hounded out of his beloved Arsenal, by the Black Scarf Brigade, after falling short of another trophy in a 6 year continual spell.

Manchester United and Liverpool have already made a big start to their summer spending with the signings of Phil Jones £20 million Ashley Young £15M and Liverpool buying Jordan Henderson £20M. This came on the day that we bought our first signing- no not a big name player but a 19 year old from Charlton for £1 million.

There has been a recent large outlay of money for home grown players between English Clubs. In many peoples view the money exchanged for certain players has been described as ‘excessive'. Names including James Milner, Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson have all crossed the £20 million plus threshold.

It is clearly evident that during recent months the red and white armoury has come under intense pressure, with many even questioning whether "Arsene Wenger is the right man for Arsenal Football Club?".

A few years ago such a question would have been responded with laughter, yet today critics and many Arsenal fans find themselves pondering on the very thought of Arsenals greatest manager being replaced.

Gareth Bale may have been voted the PFA player of the year, but as always the decision was a completely ludicrous one. Bale is an awesome talent no doubt, a total revelation but he won the award purely because of ‘that' European performance against the reigning champions.

Adequate is the word that I would use to describe Arsenals transfer window. It could have been better but then again it could also have been worse. Watching the post match interview with Wenger after our dismal Sunday last weekend left me feeling angry, deflated and pessimistic about our future.

The Swansea game wasn't the easiest to watch, I have to admit. We looked nervous at the back and uncomfortable throughout the 90 minutes; in fact we looked like a team that was still struggling to come to terms with having the absolute stuffing knocked out of us by one of our greatest rivals which was fair enough.

Well, what an incredibly frustrating ninety minutes that was. Upbeat start, good goal, cavalier flicks, lucky equaliser, chances, chances, CHANCES, saves, saves, more ruddy saves and Wolves rode their luck to a first point against Arsenal in the Premier League era. You couldn't fault the team's effort, apart from a slight easing off in the first half, and I agree with Arsene when he says that we would have won this game 19 times out of 20.
