City To Make Move For 2 Highly Rated Defenders After Terry Snubs Them.
John Terry has snubbed a move to City even though it would have seen the defender earn £250,000 a
week. Instead he will put pen to paper on a new deal that will see him get a mere £150,000 per
week at Chelsea.
Cesc Fabregas last night shocked Arsenal by admitting: "My family would understand if I signed for
Real Madrid." In a heart-rending interview he talks about the frustration and pain of four barren
years in North London and brands the Gunners "impotent". Real Madrid's huge summer spending spree
to attract the world's best players to the Bernabeu sits [.
1. We won despite having a dreadful first half and a passable second half.
2. Wayne Rooney has scored four goals in four games. Cristiano who?
3. Darren Fletcher is a machine.
4. An Arsenal player scored our winning goal. Hilarious.
5. Wenger got sent to the stands continuing a day of indiscipline for Arsenal in a game where over
half their players were booked.
Manchester United won their third straight Barclays Premier Title after a scoreless game against
Arsenals on Sunday May 16, 2009. After winning the title a total of 18 times they have won the cup
more than any other team in the league.
Congratulations Manchester United!
The Serie A side would like some defensive reinforcements should they lose the Brazilian Felipe
Melo to the Emirates. On Saturday, Fiorentina admitted that they were in negotiations with Arsenal
to sell midfielder Felipe Melo to the Gunners. It was also suggested that versatile player Emmanuel
Eboue would be included in the deal to lower the cash [.

Rafa Searches For Replacements As Alonso Hands In Transfer Request
Alonso has today handed in a written transfer request, paving the way for Aquilani to join
Liverpool. It is believed that Real Madrid and Liverpool will agree on a price believed to be
between £28M and £30M.
Arshavin and Fabregas were once again in imperious form for their club as The Gunners dismantled
Blackburn Rovers at The Emirates Stadium this afternoon. Arsenal ran riot in the second half
against a Blackburn side low in confidence and suffering inconsistent form in the league this
season. The home team once again produced some spells of incredibly stylish flowing football that
can only be associated with this Arsenal side - who have become widely recognised as the most easy
on the eye team in English football today.
Whilst Arsene Wenger's managerial ability is regularly praised, his wit does not always seem to be
appreciated. After all, English is the man's third language and yet his cunning with the language
is something I can only aspire to.
Indeed, the only manager who been at the helm of his club for the same amount of time is Fergie.
It's no doubt that Arsenal couldn't perform in the last two matches .First
being the second leg of the champions league semi final in the emirates as they
lost 1-0 at the old Trafford it was crucial for them not to give away goals at
emirates .The main reason for man u to win this match was because of Cristiano
Rolando's beautiful performance and arsenal worst defense because the main players in the
defense were Gallas and Clichy who couldn't play the game though
Gibbs and song tried their best, having an advantage like that for Manchester
united is enough for a win like that(3-1) .
According to a report of Spanish sport daily newspaper AS, Arsenal's headcoach Arsene Wenger is
very keen to sign a contract in Madrid. Real Madrid's chairman, Florentino Perez, has entrusted the
negotiation contacts to Jorge Valdano. The report indicates that Valdano and Wenger have already
met in Paris in hopes of bringing the Frenchman on board [.
Arsenals youth team ran riot last week and beat our youth team 4-1 in the first leg of the FA Youth
Cup final. Tonight marks the return leg of the final at Anfield Road. It might seem almost
inconceivable that our youths can overcome that deficit, but there's a bit of symmetry at play
here.
You see back in the good old days (80s), it seemed almost inconceivable that any side could come to
Anfield and beat Liverpool 2-0.
I'm starting a trend with my articles now... they all seem to start with "Last year I wrote
article XYZ", well this one is no different!
So last year I wrote an article about the state of the ticket system for Arsenal Fans. And I
hate to announce over the last year things have got worse, I lost my wallet with my precious
membership cards in.
What's good for the Goose isn't always the same for the gander in Arsenals case.
Ever since the Paul Davis incident back in 1988, which I believe was the first instance of
cameras being used retrospectively in a football match, we have been treated unfairly by the
footballs powers that be.
FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed he wants to nab Arsenal superstar Cesc Fabregas.
Laporta is ready to offer around £45million to tempt Arsenal into selling their captain. Laporta
said: "I would very much like to see Cesc wearing the shirt of Barcelona. "He was formed in our
academy and it's certain he'd adapt to our system.
Over the last couple of weeks most of the articles here have been on Manchester City's spending
power, Arsenals selling power, or how there is or isn't any loyalty in the game of football
anymore. I've sat at home this week with swine flu looking for something to write about which
didn't involve a top four club or a wanna be top four club.
.
Football can be a cruel sport sometimes and it was certainly cruel tonight under the floodlights
on a warm evening in Glasgow. Two strokes of luck have almost ensured Arsenals progress to the
group stages of the Champions League as they overcame a stubborn Celtic side 2-0.
Celtic had started brightly enough; playing a 4-5-1 they restricted Arsene Wenger's fluid
passing and movement and, while not creating much in the way of chances themselves, they contained
Arsenal as best they could.
Saturday Afternoon, Middle Eastlands Stadium in Manchester and Emmanuel Adebayor rises above a
sparse Arsenal defence and nods in the clinching third goal of an enthralling back and forth
encounter which adds substance to the blue half of Manchester's claim that they are Champions
League bound....discuss!
The first matches of Premier League Fantasy Football have been played, and it's time check how
did the teams do.
The real season opener Chelsea vs Hull was Didier Drogba's game. The player from Ivory Coast scored
two goals and turned the game for the Blues. Hull took the lead with newcomer Stephen Hunt's goal
while the matchclock was on the 27th minute.
Don't know how others feel, but I'm pretty fed up with reading the football news, its either
about Cesc going to Barca, or Cesc going to Barca so instead I thought over the next few days I
would take a look back at a few ‘loved ones' from the team in red and white. Feel free to let me
know if it's a stupid idea
Today is all about John Radford just for our newly married blogger Big Raddy.
Arsenal forward Robin Van Persie will miss the rest of the season after finding out he will need
an operation on his injured ankle ligaments. The 26 year old Dutchman was initially expected to be
out for six weeks. However, scans have revealed the injury is worse than originally feared.
"Robin will undergo surgery next week in Amsterdam to reconstruct the ligaments," said a club
statement.
