Arsenal are one of the favorite teams from which to draw drawing FF players. Arsene Wenger doesnt
rotate the squad too frequently and generally persists with a favoured starting line-up, so you can
get a clear idea of which players should expect big minutes. They are also a very attacking team,
most of which seems to go through Adebayor.
FIRST LEG - 1 st and 2nd APRIL 2008
The draw was made this afternoon at Uefa's head office in Switzerland and as anticipation, two
great English teams were drawn against each other. Arsenals host Liverpool at the Emirates.

Return leg of the quarter finals tonight and tomorrow evening
Arsenal meet Liverpool at Anfield this evening and it will be the third time they play against each
other in a matter of 8 days. Twice now in the Quarter Finals and one Premier League game.
As we reported yesterday, it seems that Barcelona is seriously looking at bringing in more top
talents from Arsenals roster. We've been hearing that talks include both Hleb and Adebayor, but
today the comments focused on Hleb. Barcelona vice-president Marc Ingla confirmed today that there
is ongoing communication with Arsenal for midfielder Alex Hleb.
After 3 minutes in the first half, Birmingham were reduced to ten men when their captain Taylor was
red carded for a tackle on Eduardo who had to be hospitalized.
Theo Walcott scored two goals which temporarily place the Gunners in command , however a technical
mistake by Clichy in injury awarded Birmingham a penalty which resulted in the draw.
Arsenals were eliminated from the Champions League by a gallant performance from Liverpool. Diaby
in the 13th min scored for Arsenals who were having the better of the first half. From a brilliant
set piece in the 30th minute, Hypia reduced the deficit and Liverpool were now on level terms
again.
Andrei Arshavin had a cracking game for Russia last night as a lot of you will have seen. He is
described by Hiddink as the cleverest player hes ever managed, which is quite an accolade coming
from Hiddink. It seems that hes very good player but good enough for Arsenal?
Well the reports which i think have only really popped up today after his performance last night
are that Wenger will offer £10million.
We reported earlier about Barca's confidence that they would be able to land Emmanuel Adebayor, but
his agent, Vincenzo Morabito, thinks differently. He claims AC Milan have a "70 to 80%
chance" of signing the Arsenal striker. We are guessing Milan is willing to pay Arsenals full
asking price of £27 million.
Arsenals new boy Samir Nasri has expressed his delight at his move to The Emirates after starting
pre-season training yesterday writes Craig Rodhouse. Nasri signed for the Gunners earlier this
month from Marseille and was clearly happy about the move. "I'm so excited!" Nasri told
France-Football. "I arrived in London on Sunday and had my first training [.
Sunderland manager Roy Keane believes Liverpool will be favourites for the Premier League title
should they secure the signing of Aston Villa captain Gareth Barry.
In a saga to match that of Cristiano Ronaldo's mooted move to Real Madrid, Villa have rejected
three offers from The Reds as they hold out for the £18 million asking price they have placed
on the 27-year old's head.
In the words of Ricky Gervais "hmmm...stufff to do, stuff to talk about". I could talk
about the euro but quite frankly my dear watson i dont want to. From the couple of games iv seen
the atmosphere of the whole sharade just isnt what a European championships atmosphere should be.
Perhaps its the England omission i dont know but so far its seem pretty boring.
Arsene thinks his teenage wonder was targeted in Arsenals last UCL game.
I believe the exact words were "tried to destroy" and that the Dynamo Kiev dude should've
been sent off multiple times and the ref turned a blind eye.
Then Wenger went on to complain about stoppage time, the toilets in the locker room and that his
Rice Krispies didn't crackle enough during his morning breakfast.
